I absolutely hate to give this bar one star, because it is a staple for Jax beach. I grew up in Atlantic Beach right off Cavala Road. And I had some friends in town and they asked where to go. I said let’s go to Petes. It was Friday night. The bar usually closes at 2 AM. I know it’s January and the slow season. But how rude the bartenders were to us was absolutely insane. They began to kick us out at 1:30 in a very aggressive and hostile manner, They locked the front door around 115 so nobody else could come in. There was a kid in a black jacket and black hat. He was completely disrespectful, rude, and should not be working in the hospitality industry. Most likely will go to lynches or fly’s tie when we come back in town next week. Oh yeah the girl by the front door. She was nice to us and helped us retrieve the ball out of the pool table. Thank you for that.

This place amazes me. It’s an old bar with that retro feel. But what really amazed me was the amount of people in this place. Good music, plenty of opportunity to meet new people. Pool tables, one table tennis table and plenty of space for the 2 bars they have on either side of the building. I lived in north Florida since 87, but this was my first visit to this bar. We only went here because everything else around here was shutting down.

Popped into the corner store at Pete’s while on vacation to pick up some Christmas gifts for friends back home. I received the BEST service from Nick & Shannon! They were super helpful and nice. I’ll return every time I’m in Jacksonville ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had some family visiting from out of town who wanted to buy some shirts but the merch store was not open yet. The managers Nick and Joey took us over to the store and opened it so we could buy a couple hats and shirts. Ended up hanging out at the bar and drinking with Joey all night. Pete’s is always a great time!

Was there on Sunday Night and did not appreciate the hostile Blonde Staff member. She was blonde (long hair). We were enjoying ourselves and relaxing ( playing songs on jukebox) when all of a sudden this blonde lady comes up to me and my fiancé and asks us “ Are you okay”?! It was agressive and unnecessary and didn’t appreciate the tone or look on her face. As soon as she said thst to us we tabbed out. Made us feel uncomfortable in there.

All I half to say is CHECK UR BANK ACCOUNT AFTER YOU VISIT THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!!!! Multiple charges were added to my tab that did not add up.
We were only there at max 30 minutes and within that time I payed for 3 beers and 2 25$ T-shirts and a tip for the bartender..and the next afternoon there is a $195 bill charged to my card…. Check ur back accounts people! This place is horrible.

Idk about the food, if there is any, I never ordered, but it’s a great bar atmosphere with billiards, ping pong and online jukebox. The bartenders I dealt with were great.

Wow this place is the place to be at night! Their new outdoor area is amazing! It has a couple of bars, lights, and TV’s for sports. The inside was a little rougher but still nice as it had plenty of pool tables and cold drinks!

This place has something for everyone who enjoys drinking both inside and outside. It’s the oldest bar in Duval County for a reason and definitely has the feel and decor. There is also pool, ping pong, foosball, arcade games, TV’s and more for the competitive patrons.
