Visited as a surprise for a friend’s birthday, he had no idea we were coming so it was a nice surprise for him.
We sat upstairs on a large table overlooking the abbey, and with an upstairs bar for easy drinks access.
As we were a large party we had pre ordered our meals. I had papas renellas, and moqueca. The papas renellas were incredible, and I could eat them by the bucketload! The moqueca is something I love making at home myself so had to compare how mine is to restaurant quality, and the restaurants was a bit better than mine!
Service was excellent, and everyone enjoyed their meals! Well worth a visit!

Had an amazing experience for the Mrs’ birthday – fantastic vibe, service but the food itself was amazing. We had been weighing up going for a known chain till we saw recommendations pointing to this business – in so glad we did.
We had a chateaubriand to share, calamari and chicken wings – all cooked perfectly and fresh. Great work to all.
We also had several cocktails- all of which were fresh and great tasting

Visited here today (1st March 26) for our 40th Wedding Anniversary.
We were welcomed into the restaurant and seated on a cosy table for 2.
Straight away we were served with a glass of bubbly each which was a nice touch.
Our meal was superb! Opted for the beef and a swordfish roast dinner.
Both meals were absolutely gorgeous, well presented, cooked to perfection and the plate plentiful!
After our meal, we were presented with a lovely decorated plate for our Anniversary ❤️
The restaurant is a perfect place to book for any occasion, nice atmosphere, perfectly polite and friendly staff.
Thankyou for celebrating our Anniversary, we will definately visit again on our next visit to Bath!

Great vibes and staff, but mind the menu details!
We visited Edesia for a girls’ trip in Bath and had a lovely time. The staff were incredibly attentive and kind throughout our visit. The restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere—definitely a “good vibes” venue with great music, delicious food, and excellent cocktails.
The only area for improvement is menu clarity. My friend ordered the fish stew, which didn’t list prawns as an ingredient. As she has a prawn allergy, we were a bit taken aback when it arrived. To be safe, it would be helpful if the staff confirmed allergies during ordering, especially since the prawns weren’t mentioned verbally either.
That being said, the team handled the situation perfectly. They were very apologetic and quickly prepared a fresh, prawn-free meal so we could all eat together. We were able to laugh it off thanks to their kindness. Overall, a great spot that we’d definitely recommend!

I visited the Edesia Restaurant Saturday afternoon with my family and with massive luck we get table for 4. The service was absolutely amazing , Fabjo our server was excellent 5☆plus and entire staff very friendly and helpful. The food was served within 15-20 minutes, pretty quick I must say.

We had a fantastic date night at Edesia. The restaurant itself is really well designed with a funky and vibrant atmosphere that has the right kind of buzz so you can have a conversation. The food was amazing! My husband and I both had steaks, both cooked to perfection! Fabjo was attentive and friendly making great recommendations on both the food and cocktails to try. I can highly recommend the Lady Bridgeton and Rossilina!

Very lovely experience!! I wanted cauliflower steak (that was on their menu online), but it had updated to aubergine, I still ordered it but not a massive fan so didn’t eat it all. The staff offered me chips, extra vegetables or sides after seeing I hadn’t finished food. Then they brought over a free dessert to fill me up!! Very very good service, lovely staff

Absolutely gorgeous meal here last night. The food was amazing, we were impressed with it all, I had the fig and pear starter, then the short rib for main, my partner had pulled pork Bon Bon’s and for main the seafood stew. Had some help to pick out a nice bottle of red wine, was beautiful. The service was wonderful too. We will definitely go back and would highly recommend.

We had absolutely fantastic experience in this restaurant. We ordered chicken skewers, seafood paella, and fish stew. The food was simply delicious, and portions were generous. Also, staff was very helpful, the lighting and interior created relaxing atmosphere. The only thing that was missing was Mexican/South American music:) It seems to me that this detail would perfectly complement the overall experience.
