I’m continued to be surprised by some hidden gems! Lu-Bob’s is guaranteed to be a GEM for generations. The staff was extremely welcoming, efficient and accommodating. I got the grilled chicken which was seasoned to perfection. The chef grilled the breast to the juiciest state! The corn tasted fresh and cooked exactly to my liking. I skipped the tasty looking piece of bread for a coconut piece of pie. This treat ended my meal like a dream I never wanted to wake up from. The crust felt unique soft yet held together. The fluff and taste of the rest made me cry with happy tears each bite. Extremely recommended…INKed approved.

Didn’t have any problems, except they don’t want trucks in there. I walked up there from the truck stop, which was fine. Good exercise. The food was fine, but if I had a chance, I would have gotten something different. It wasn’t what I thought it would be. It’s so hard to find a sirloin steak anymore, for some reason. They didn’t have that. The menu said beef noodles. Its those made from scratch dumpling type noodles. I know some people like them, but that’s not the kind I wanted. I thought it would be egg noodles. Anyhow, the server was pleasant and got my order correctly. The soup was delicious, vegetable. The tea was good. Next time, I will just try something different.

Classic old world diner that lacks the charm, it could be great, Unfortunately, if you aren’t a regular they will ignore you. The place wasn’t to busy, but the staff was focused on serving people they clearly knew while neglecting the out of towners. I am certain its quite friendly if you live there.

I can’t recommend any dishes in good conscience, nothing was served the way it was ordered.

Apparently coffee is black gold, order 1 cup but never expect a refill.

This is a great place for breakfast, which is served all day. Their French toast is really good. The sausage patties are formed by hand. The eggs are cooked precisely.. and they have Ski in the soda fountain.

Atmosphere is that of a family diner. Could probably use some TLC but that’s part of the charm. Staff is very friendly and attentive.portion size is great relative to the money spent.

Good place to take the family due to the amount of.options in the menu.

Was pleasantly surprised! We had gizzards and they were very tender and spaghetti with meat sauce which was very good! Better than a lot of Italian places I’ve been to. The waitress was very nice and friendly. Would definitely eat here again!

Freakin’ 5 -stars. They have real hashbrowns. B&G’s were great. Stopped on a trip between STL and Cincinnati for breakfast. Highly recommended. Would like to stop there again during dinner hours.

The worst place to eat at. First the waitress got a drinks but didn’t come back for along time and when she did she just took a menus and walked off. Then proceeded to get the order from a couple that came in behind us and gave everybody else their plate’s and charged us almost $16 for four drinks three adults one child drink’s not one word of any sort towards taking our order or if we’re doing OK she’s ignored us and proceeded to help everybody else in the restaurant but us . Will never go back the service was horrible.

LuBobs is where you go for a home cooked meal. Everyone is someone, and everyone is family. The staff is friendly, the room full of smiling faces, and the food made with love. I highly suggest the iced tea, pony or horse shoe, and all of the pies! Rob makes the best pies, and Cati is the best host/owner/all in one! Love this place, and you should stop by when you’re in the neighborhood!

If you’re looking for down home classic country this is the place! It is an institution! Had breakfast and the fries, the eggs, the sausage, even the bagel were great. Prices were a LOT higher than I expected, and of course the environment is about as far from updated, clean, or modern as one could imagine. But I suppose that’s why they have survived so long and is part of the charm.

Awesome little family restaurant, just what I was looking for…locally owned, quaint, GREAT food, and a friendly staff. Pro Tip. Try the vegetable soup and the fried walleye for a wonderful meal.
Thanks!
