Love all the plants! There’s food guests can have and a cute little indoor farmer’s market!
Highly recommend The Standard and The Cranberry! They also have unique cocktails. The space was so clean and inviting. Staff was very kind, knowledgeable and friendly!
Awesome spot to stop for an apres ski after Thunderridge if you’re in the area! Very very cute! 12/10✨✨✨✨✨✨
They actually have a nice curated selection of local spirits, would make a great gift.
Also, the entrance is confusing, there’s no signs, but you can get to the bar through the greenhouse.
We knew there was a pub area, and we have always liked the cider, so we decided to give it a try last night. We hoped we could sit in the pub, have a nice couple of drinks, eat a bit of food, enjoy the atmosphere at a local spot. It’s actually a nice venue at first glance.
It was good to have a man and a guitar in the pub, but the pub space was in no way large enough for the incredibly loud music. No amplification was needed. It was too loud to have any kind of conversation in the bar area, or even just sit and enjoy the music without hearing loss. There was limited seating in the pub.
That was a shame. We wanted to sit in the pub, but instead, due to the ridiculously loud music, we had to sit in the huge but inadequately heated atrium, which is like being in an echo chamber. There were families with kids. That’s fine, if you want to be around kids. It’s not fine if you want to have a relaxing adult evening, unless you want to be around lots of noisy children.
So neither space is a good option for any kind of relaxation.
My cider cocktail was absolutely delicious. The cider is always great. Beer was good too. There is so much potential to be a good space.
The food was very bad. We have eaten there in the day time and there are really good sandwiches and salads. The evening bar food is subpar. The menu was primarily desinged for children. And I mean dried out toddler-style carrot sticks with ranch dressing, celery sticks with brown spots, and greasy fried globs of cauliflower smothered with sticky sweet sauce. My husband had a gooey quesdailla with gross cheese and flavorless pulled pork, served with a huge tub of sour cream, no salsa, for dipping tortilla chips.
This place could be much better if they could do something about the acoustics. We actually brought a deck of cards, luckily. They could get a much broader clientele if they perhaps had a stack of games, a slightly quieter guitarist, and find a way to absorb the sound in the atrium.
It wasn’t especially busy, so that wasnt an issue. I’m not sure we will return, barring some major improvements in sound and food. It’s a pity, as it is big and could be much better without a lot of effort. So much unfulfilled potential.
So tasty
