Was a very welcoming old fashioned mom and pop place. Meal was affordabley portioned for these times. Was very well flavored. Decent location. Was not expecting to find a gem while running around doing errands. Please excuse the pictures as I was in a hurry Friend also added 2 pastries unbeknownst to me which were good.

The good: the tzatziki was very tasty, not too garlicky. And was on the side as requested.
Not good:
No washroom customers can use.
Fries are those gross reconstituted potato with breading kind of thing, not cut up potato. Don’t even bother.
Meat was ok, spiced differently than i’m used to with but gyro meat and not as nice to my taste, and cut in big chunks instead of usual gyro shaved slices. While the portion was generous, the pita was way too small for amount and chunkiness of the meat, and it disintegrated pretty quickly so was not good to eat in the car.
I asked for no onion but there was a bunch of onion.
And last but worst, some of the lettuce was really gross. I took a picture of the piece that made me put it down and throw the rest away. Please, Gyro Hut folks, check your lettuce for freshness and not being icky before you put it on a sandwich? If i hadn’t walked a couple blocks back to where my car was charging
to eat i’d have brought it back when i found that and asked for a refund.
This was a first try and there will not be a
second one. Very disappointing.
Also, please put a “no restroom available” sign on the door so if being able to make a pit stop while waiting is part of why a
person is choosing where to get takeout…. I’ll remember not to assume and to ask before i order in the future.

Five stars for an amazing chicken and rice meal! It was absolutely delicious ,so tasty, fresh, and filling. Exactly what I was craving, and it hit the spot perfectly. Will definitely be back for more!

went here for lunch with my dad based on reviews. the place is great. the two ladies (mom & daughter?) were super friendly and nice. we asked for a recommendation and they recommended the combo.
the combo was delicious and the portions were huge! we ended up taking left overs and it was enough for a whole meal.
we also got the baklava and that was also very very good.
if i lived closer, i would add this place to my rotation of restaurants i get takeout from.

Extremely friendly service, wonderful Ladies working. Very helpful. Once me and my partner got our food it was freaking delicious. We got extra meat and we asked for extra sauce of the tzatziki sauce and they brought like a plate. Which was awesome because I’m a sauce fiend. And it is comparable to gyro sal. One of the best quality Mediterranean food in in Northgate. And the Egyptian music was very peaceful.

They will close early with no notice. We arrived 30 minutes before closing and the entire business was closed with no posting. According to their sign on the door they should be open. We paid for our food only to show up with no response. Do not buy from here.

Gyro Hut has great food, but the service made it even better. The older lady working there was extremely kind, patient, and friendly. You can tell she truly cares about customers. Thank you for such a nice experience!

We don’t visit Gyro Hut enough because we live in another part of the city, but we are always very satisfied when we do drop by for take-out. The staff are very friendly, and the food is so fresh and delicious, and plentiful! Like two meals in one. Looking forward to our next visit.

I’m not usually a big gyro fan, but this place is a game-changer! I ordered the Chicken Shawarma plate and was blown away. The salad was incredibly fresh, the chicken was packed with flavor, and the tziki sauce was on point. Our server, Ruby, provided top-notch service. I’ll definitely be back!

Echoing what others have said – the food is delicious! The chicken shawarma salad was fantastic. The chicken is super flavorful and they give you a good amount. You walk in the front door and it smells amazing. These ladies mean business!
