We recently visited this new donut and sandwich spot and had mixed feelings. The space itself looks great and modern, clean, with metal tables and a fresh, industrial vibe that immediately catches your attention.
Unfortunately, the food didn’t fully match the look. The donuts were off in terms of filling to-dough ratio. There was simply too much bread compared to the amount of filling, and the dough itself leaned away from traditional donuts, denser, less sweet, and lacking that familiar softness and flavor most people expect.
We also tried a breakfast sandwich with sausage. The sandwich bread appeared to be donut-based as well, but it didn’t bring much flavor to the overall bite. The sausage patty seemed house-made, which we appreciate, but it had an off flavor that made us pause and try to figure out what we were tasting, not in a good way.
That said, we do think this place has potential. It’s clear they’re trying to be more than a traditional donut shop, and we respect that creativity. With some improvements, especially to the dough and flavor balance this could become something really special.
For now, it feels like one of those places you’re excited to try because it’s new, but you’re not fully convinced to return after the first visit. We do plan to come back for a second visit to give it a fair chance and update our thoughts, because we genuinely want to see this place succeed.

Absolutely loved this spot! The donut selection is incredible—not only do they look amazing, but they taste fresh and delicious. We tried the S’mores donut (the teddy grahams were a cute touch!) and the Raspberry one, which was perfectly balanced and not too sweet. The shop itself is clean and welcoming. Definitely a great place to stop for a treat in Allen. Highly recommend!

A fantastic new spot to check out in Allen! So eager for the place to be fully operational. Unfortunately, some items weren’t available for purchase. I’m really looking forward to tasting the sandwiches! And the yellow accents in the building are make it a happy place!

What an amazing new donut shop and cafe find here in Allen. They make a great selection of fancy donuts, have tasty breakfast sandwiches and tacos, and the chai latte is amazing. I’m happy to see them here and will become a regular.

this place opened up and we stopped in to try it since it was so close to home! the donuts were HUUUUUGE and they were delicious! i also had a strawberry matcha and it was so good, would def go back for JUST THAT. as for the food, we ordered the popcorn chicken and a nashville biscuit (name might be off) but they were a miss for me 🙁 my biscuit was hard and my side of ranch was more of the consistency of mayo. it was a bit odd. portions were great and the service was also great! would probs go back for the bakery items & drinks, but not the food!

First time coming to this new beautiful spot , the inside is so cute it’s Alice and wonderland themed .. I will say please be patient with the employees, be kind , everyone is learning , treat people with respect , I would say there are only 3-4 employees in the building …the traction from social media and it’s eye catching outside decor, a lot of customers come in and there isn’t a lot of sit down space. I got the strawberries and cream , blueberry cronut, and crème brûlée. All were great and not overly sweet we would come back as a sweet treat to enjoy every now and then. The crème brûlée was perfect , crunchy sugary outer layer the cream was thick and a little sweet and the char from the burn bits were great and don’t leave any bitter parts legit perfect. Very good new breakfast spot , I didn’t get a chance to try the drinks or savory options but will next time.

Friendly service and a cozy atmosphere! My friend and I both got matcha drinks and donuts; everything was tasty and the donuts taste as great as they look. You can expect to pay a little over $10 and they do have a rewards program available! I went back to order a BEC sandwich and that was delicious as well. Of course a few items right now are unavailable but the staff is working on fixing that, it’s not something that deserves knocking off stars from my review I’ve only been to their Plano location but based off that I’m sure the unavailable items will be just as tasty when they’re back! Overall, a great experience and this location is so close to home so I’m excited to be back soon!

Sooo excited to have Honeybird in Allen. This is the first time I have been to any Honeybird location. This is going to be my new fun favorite!!! The doughnuts are HUGE and fully filled. There are many fancy and unique flavors to choose from. They are a a treat for the eye and as yummy as they look. My daughter had the egg sausage sandwich and it was really yummy with lots of flavor. Cute comfortable Café with nice music too. What a real treat in Allen!
