We stayed at the resort and on the second night we decided to had our dinner at Barney’s Tiki bar. The food was delicious and Michelle was great she made sure we had everything and more. Loved her recommendations for food and drinks. Usually I have local beers and her recommendation was on spots. The view and the music choice was awesome Definitely recommended. And will be back

Waitress was very sweet, but food could have been better. Our drinks were watered down and my fish tacos didn’t even have pico de gallo which made it almost flavorless. Had to drench it in hot sauce just to get it down. Saw some cute dolphins though? ♀️

We stayed at The Hammocks BlueGreen 4 nights and ate Barnacle Barney’s 3 times. Each food item ordered was right on prepared perfectly and Delicious. Brought in our own caught snapper and had it prepped two ways, fried and blackened to perfection.

It was windy today but the vinyl curtains were down so it was comfortable. Our server, Melanie, was quick to greet us and get our drink orders. She explained the specials and the extras that we could order. Food came out with no real wait. It was hot and cooked to our liking. The owner/chef came and checked on us. You would never know he just took over a couple weeks ago. Well done, sir. We’ll be back for dessert later this evening.

My husband I stopped for a cocktail before getting on our sunset cruise. Bartender was friendly and talkative but the place was a complete rip off. The booze was in different bottles and they had them labeled wrong. Proceeded to offer a different fruity drink and charged us the full amount of $25 for 2 drinks. Very disappointing as we were looking for a great outside atmosphere with a good drink. Stay away!

Our waitress, Tina, was a doll. Fast service. So personable and witty. Food was delicious. My husband and I each ordered the fried lobster basket and were surprised at the large portions. Location is nice. When walking up we overheard people talking about how there had just been some sharks swimming by the docks and we also got to watch dolphins playing while we ate our lunch.

Waitress spilled a drink down my leg and then dropped our credit card through the deck board. Management solution was to call our bank. We were able to retrieve it after several attempts with a piece of chewed gum and straws. Staff was unconcerned and only apologized after we mentioned that they should. A drink was offered but we had finished our meal 20 some minutes ago.

The tiki bar is on the water and we’re told that you get a beautiful view of the sunset from the gulf side between April – September. When we went, the sunset was blocked by a hotel or large apartment building. The food was NOT good! My hogfish was ok but the vegetables were flavorless. My wife’s stuffed shells were bland and had an odd flavor. The drinks were weak and small. In the end, we paid a lot for a disappointing experience.

After dinner, we stopped by for some drinks and to watch the sunset. We did not eat any food at Barnacle Barney’s. We did enjoy a drink or two from their bar and we watched the sunset. They shoot a miniature cannon at sunset and it was entertaining.

My boyfriend and I love this place. It’s not just for people staying at the time share… by any means. It’s a great under-the-radar spot right on the water. The drinks are great, all of the food we’ve gotten has been great, the staff is awesome. We also LOVE to take our drinks down to the dock and feed the fish, talk to the charter captains, and just enjoy the scenery. If you’re looking for a place that isn’t so much of a tourist destination, this is your place. Give it a try. ☀️
