This was my first time visiting The Picket Fence, Clute location. The food and staff (Megan) are great! I got to try a variety of appetizers and loved the fried green tomatoes! I ordered the quinoa bowl, it was very good! There’s a lunch crowd so plan ahead, I look forward to trying the rest of the menu in the near future. God bless everyone at the Southern Brazoria County locations.

Why did it take us so long to come here? Well, we thought it was too small until we discovered the entrance in the back!
Now this place has become a go to for our family! So many great menu options for lunch and dinner.
Breakfast was a miss but that’s ok because we rarely go out for breakfast.
Service is good. There are a couple amazing servers that actually seem happy to be there but you might run into a couple that aren’t very happy.
My background in food service has me picky and I expect great customer service if you make the choice to work in the food service industry, especially hosting & serving. You should greet with a smile and positive attitude.
Food is fresh and the portions are great. They also have amazing affordable prices. We can actually visit a few times a week and not go broke!
If you haven’t been here, get here! You won’t be disappointed!

Great price food. A little quirky but nice environment. The dinning room is really nice. The bar is a little simple and needs a more grand feel to match the rest of the room. Has a separate room for parties looks like. There’s parking in the back. The food was different, I didn’t know what to pick but I got the Sriracha pineapple chicken and red gudah soup. The food was good but I didn’t have a knife to cut the chicken which was hard to do. Soup and crackers (crackers are amazing with spices) soup was great side of loaded mash potatoes was pretty good. Not quite 5 star but not a typical 4 star. I would go back to try the many flavors. Maybe if they had some unique teas to match the meals.

The Picket Fence is an awesome hidden gem! We love the decor and welcome feel of the restaurant. The menu has something for everyone with great quality food. Our servers were attentive and friendly.
This visit was during the lunch/dinner menu but we’ve heard great things about the breakfast menu from family.
I decided on the Avocado BLT and fries which was delicious and very filling! The rest of the table enjoyed their food with no complaints – even from the kids menu

The Picket Fence has been one of my favorite restaurants in the Brazosport area for many years. They have so many great appetizer and entree selections but invariably I gravitate to ordering their hamburger on a jalapeno bun. I also love their phenomenal cream of poblano soup. Great food and fast, friendly service.

My husband and I stopped here on our way to Surfside and I didn’t know what to expect. We pulled up and at first glance, it looked like just a “hole in the wall” but boy was i wrong! This place was absolutely perfect. The atmosphere, the service, the PRICES!, the FOOD!, the variety on the menu….ALL TRULY AMAZING. We decided this place will be our new getaway spot.

I love the Picket Fence, we’ve been eating there forever. But please, tell your waiters to inform larger tables if the gratuity is added. When it’s time to pay, they don’t give an itemized receipt and our waiter lied when asked if the gratuity was included so all of us tipped on top of the grat. We will always tip, but not usually 40% and we definitely don’t like being lied to.
