I grabbed the steak hibachi with noodles and three rolls–each of which was about $15 at lunch time. My sushi was fresh with quality ginger. The steak was perfect, and the savory seasoning on the noodles and vegetables almost made me neglect the included yumyum.

My first time here, went with my dad and sister, they have been here a few times. The server was nice and friendly. I ordered what they ordered, the soup was good, tasted like chicken broth and maybe a little bit of a onion taste but more chicken broth taste, I did really like it and would eat it or drink it again, it would be good to drink or eat if your sick too. The salad and dressing was good but I think it was just all lettuce, there wasn’t any tomatos or cucumbers or cheese or anything. The meal was chicken teriyaki I think and noodles and vegetables, I’m not sure what we ordered and I think they ordered something different accidentally because when the food first came out all the noodles were piled high on a big saucer plate, I mean no way we could eat all them noodles, there was enough noodles on 1 plate for 3 or more people, my sister got the rice instead of noodles and her rice plate was just as huge too, the chicken was on top of the vegetables on a separate plate that was huge , way to much food for 1 person, it looked like a whole chicken sliced in pieces to me, the vegetables were, mushrooms, broccoli and other stuff. So we first all the thought the noodles and rice plates were each of ours but the chicken plate we were supposed to share because usually when they eat there I guess theirs always comes on a plate together but I’m not sure but anyway no it wasn’t a shareable meal the server said there’s 2 more chicken plates coming, we were shocked at all the food we couldn’t eat it all, first thing we did was get togo containers and started putting a bunch of our food in the togo containers before we ate and we still left food on our plates. So if you need to feed a family and like this kind of food you can feed several with 1 order of it. Pictures posted of just my meal and soup not counting all the other food too. We didn’t even hardly have any room on our table for everything and the table was good size. Now my opinion of the noodles and chicken, I didn’t really care for either of them, the noodles were kinda dry, I just didn’t really care for them and the chicken was kinda hard to me, I don’t know it just wasn’t that good to me but my sister and dad really like eating there and the food. We took the rest of the food home and my mother even said the chicken was tuff or hard this time, I agree with her and she has eaten there several times before too. They did have alligator on the menu but it was around $30, or I would have definitely got it. They also had white fish, the server thought it was talipa, I probably should have tried it instead of what I ordered. Each of our orders was I think $26.95 total. If I ever go back I’m definitely trying the white fish or getting the alligator. We couldn’t get over the huge amounts of food we got or the way we all thought the 1 plate of chicken was for us all 3 to share so we laughed a lot about that and wish we would have had a video of our faces when the server brought our meals out cause we were all 3 shocked. Usually whatever my sister dad orders it’s the same thing chicken teriyaki and noodles or rice and vegetables but all on one plate I think but still very large portions.

I order fuji almost once or twice a week. We absolutely love it!!! Today I was informed they weren’t gonna replace my food cause they were for sure correct and didn’t care that I said it was only their opinion im guessing I can post receipts of literally 100 200$ a week I’ve spent there now its sad cause they’re losing my buisness cause one of the servers or whoever answered the phone wouldn’t replace what was wrong or refund it or anything. Oh well all good things must come to an end!!!!

This place is usually great. Our last visit could only be described as chaos. There were only a few tables when we arrived. We placed our order at about the same time as the table beside us. Our food was brought to the table rather randomly but we managed to work that out. The table beside us received a meal for one of the two. That meal was completely consumed and the table cleared before the second person received food. The kitchen clearly needs to be organized and managed. We will go back but if this had been a first visit it most certainly would have been the last. It is worth noting that the delayed meals were sushi.

Just moved to the state two weeks ago and decided to try out this local Japanese hibachi place. It was SO delicious! I had the soft shell crab as an appetizer and hibachi salmon as my main entree with a side of alligator because I’ve never had that before. It was so delicious! My server, Haylee, was very nice and attentive and checked on me regularly which I really appreciated. 10/10 service and 9/10 food only because the alligator wasn’t really my thing to no fault of the establishment. Will definitely come back! Oh, also the portions were amazing! I ate a lot of food and still had some to take home for leftovers!

This place was nice, clean and good service. The only thing I really didn’t care for was the steak, it didn’t have flavor . We did receive a large amount of rice and noodles. The rice was very good and the noodles was okay, they had a little different flavoring on them then I am use to, but I can’t speak for everyone.

The food was spot on and handled an allergy in the group with great care! The flavor was exactly what you want. Yum yum sauce was excellent. And the chef was awesome! A little slow on refills and attentiveness from wait staff, but even taking that into account still an overall great experience! Loved the choices, they even had alligator!

“私たちは魚本来の味を大切にするため、パン粉や余計なものは加えず、その純粋な風味を生かします” Itamae said to Wakiita.
My first visit, the staff was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Well past frequents or expectations. There is indeed a sushi bar! My son and I sit down and order Wakame salad, sake nigiri, maguro nigiri, sake and maguro rolls and the California maki. Everything about this food was delicious. From the preparation of the shari, to the cutting, temperature, and presentation of the sushi was on point!
Then there is today. I took my mom and daughter to Fuji. Familiar faces were again very nice. I ordered Large shrimp fried rice. Excellent. Steak and scallop combo. Excellent.
Chicken lo mien. Noodles were good. The chicken is suspiciously like rehydrated chicken breast jerky. (Tough and dry)
And then the sushi. I ordered a spicy sake maki and spicy Tikka maki. They were huge. I was excited with the precedence established on the prior visit. I tried the first piece. It was odd. I was curious. It wasn’t spicy. I could not tell the sake from the maguro. I started adding soy sauce to add flavor. To no affect. Then I found out why. I got a mouth full of greasy bread crumbs. Not being sure what it was, I asked the receptionist what the golden patch of crumbles were. “Bread crumbs” is what she said confidently and politely. To which ask asked her to throw it away. Hence the quote at the beginning for the owner, chef, or man at the board. Yes bread cumbs add volume and save money. They also destroy the flavor of what sushi can be. And more importantly, adding bread crumbs as a filler diminishes integrity.
I do enjoy Fuji restaurant. I will return. I do recommend others to go. I am learning my lesson of what is safe to order and not.

I was very disappointed with my visit to Fuji. At one time, it was the go-to in the Ashland area for Japanese food. Everything looked like it was rushed. The soup was cold. The lettuce in the salad was brown. The rice was undercooked. The chicken and steak were decent, but the portion was small for the price you paid. The server was good. She was working hard. The establishment looks old and run down. This place needs a face lift. Will not be eating here for a while or ever.

Worst sushi I have ever had. They use caned tuna in there roles. The salmon was brown and nasty and there’s 75% cucumber where they can get away with it. And the calamari is rubber and huge! Also there margaritas are week and not smooth at all.
ill never go back!!!
