Came here for dinner and everything was seriously on point. The sushi tasted super fresh, the steak was cooked perfectly, and the quality felt way above what I expected. Service was friendly and attentive without being pushy, and the vibe was clean and comfortable. If you’re looking for a spot that does both sushi and steak really well, this place is a must.

Imasa Nori Sushi Izakaya is a beautiful restaurant with a warm, modern atmosphere, especially impressive for a spot in midtown NYC. We came in on a Saturday with a group of four and were pleasantly surprised by how reasonably priced everything was for the quality.
We ordered a mix of dishes — takoyaki, octopus, eel don, a sushi & roll platter, dynamite roll, and a sushi set — and every single item was excellent. The food was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared, making it easy to share and try a variety of things.
Overall, a great balance of ambiance, quality, and value. Definitely a spot worth returning to, whether for sushi, izakaya-style plates, or a group meal.

Solid sushi spot in Midtown. Fish was very fresh and portions were generous. Grilled mackerel was a standout. Comfortable atmosphere and good value for the area. Would definitely return.

I came here on a rainy but average temperate Tuesday night in late November around 6pm for dinner before a show at Studio 54 across the street. I didn’t have a reservation and was able to sit at the sushi bar. The restaurant was definitely lively so I’d recommend a reservation even though there were open tables.
The sushi was really good that I ended up order more than I could eat. The sushi and cut roll combination options were great. I also like the spontaneous roll. The service at the sushi bar was primarily done by one of the hosts but he was definitely attentive. The food also came super quick which was helpful since I needed to be at a 7pm show across the street. The wine pours were also very generous.
The sushi here was good, but not the best I’ve had in manhattan for sure. I’d go back and I would recommend.

I honestly was extremely disappointed with the staff , they were not very knowledgeable of the menu and didn’t even try. I was deciding between the 2 sashimi plates and wanted to know what kind of fish was in it. All she could tell me was it has different slice of fish. I then asked what the difference between house sashimi and imperial sashimi and she literally said “it’s the same”. I ended up getting the Salmon don since I knew what fish was in that. They also didn’t seem very attentive until the end when they wanted us to pay and leave .
Sushi was not bad and the salmon don tasted fresh although the rice seem a bit hard. the dumplings were good but it comes with sauce on top which would be fine but in this case we didn’t like the sauce so it would be better if sauce was served on the side.
Over all good food but too big of a menu and unknowledgeable staff probably try a different sushi place in the area next time .

Imasa Nori Sushi is a wonderful place to come and enjoy some of the finest sushi and Teriyaki dishes! Chill and Sherry were just phenomenal and so attentive! The truly cared about our experience! We ordered several sushi rolls, chicken and steak teriyaki and the passion juice was next level. I highly recommend this restaurant as the atmosphere is so authentic and inviting!

This place is my weekly spot. Jason and his team put everything together with fresh fish, presentation, and taste. As long as I’m in Manhattan, I’m heading here every week!!!

No frills quality sushi joint. Shared the eel avocado, spicy yellowtail, and spicy crunchy tuna, which were all tasty options. We also enjoyed the mochi (my first time lived up to the hype) and highly recommend the matcha flavor. Definitely a go to for a quick and casual meal near Central Park with excellent service.

I was in a hurry and hungry. I walked in, it was packed, asked if I needed a reservation, and was asked if I’d like to sit at the sushi bar. Perfect! I immediately was served water, ordered, watched the guys working (VERY QUICKLY) on multiple orders, got my two rolls super fast, and they were DELICIOUS! Fresh and tasty and super quick. But I could see people were dining together and taking their time enjoying the evening. So, fantastic place!
