Food was over cooked and real greasy , left soggy buns. I had low blood sugar so I needed to eat something , if I hadn’t needed to eat my meal would have gone back. I over heard another customer raise his concern over the wax paper lining the plate, it’s the little things that may keep people from coming back . Friendly staff but our server was not very attentive. She never asked how our meal was and ignored the rest of the table !

Been here several times. Seems better in the evening. Burger is okay. The tots appetizer was unique the first time; the second time we ordered it with chorizo, but it was overcooked hamburger meat. Edible but not chorizo. The pizza wasn’t bad. Coffee was not refilled without an additional fee. Bathroom was out of tissue.
Update: came back again and food was good, but it was in the evening. The potato skins were good. Service was great. Still, I remember they charged for a coffee refill last time, and that’s pretty ridiculous. Service would be a five if not for that. The burger alone is not filling, but tastes okay. Feels kind of like getting shorted on steak fries, and becomes necessary to order something else if you want a full meal.

Red Robin corporate feel. Burger was okay. Fries were great. Great tvs for watching sports. Ladies were nice that hosted and served us. For watching games and passing through quick lunch good spot but Buffalo Grill down the street and step up better.

We stopped in here for the first time on Friday night. There was clearly some kind of disconnect between the front of the house and kitchen. It took a while to get our order in and we ordered an appetizer – chips and three sauces. We waited for about 30 minutes and then our dinner showed up – no appetizer (the waitress apologized and removed it from the bill). That said, despite the hiccup in service, the food was amazing. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back to give Backwoods another try.

Good little sports bar. Their beer line was bad, so no draft. They did not know how to pour a Guinness. Our nachos were bottom of the bag chips. I had to use a fork because they were little shards of chips. They weren’t upholding standards the night we went. Rough.
Update: Went there for fight night and had a great meal. The server we had was incredible. Patio was great for my dog.

I had one of the best burgers in town, my server. Ricky was awesome. The manager, Jason is always checking up on you and making sure you’re taken care of. Just an awesome experience. Overall, I will definitely be back.

This was my 2nd time at backwoods. We came back because we loved the food and the drink specials were good (and well made). The server was friendly and attentive. It’s nothing fancy but you can tell it is a locals favorite place to go. Old, young, motorcycle lovers, to housewife’s … all crowds welcome which made for a fun atmosphere. If you are looking for a quick drink and great bite to eat I recommend❤️

Decided to try something new when passing through Payson. The service here was great, very friendly staff. There are two sections, one feels more bar like and the other family friendly. We started with fried pickles which were good, crispy with a good flavor and ranch to dip. The burgers, however, were both over done, dry and fell very flat. We asked for them to be cooked medium but well done is all they knew and we didn’t have the time to send them back. The bun had a decent flavor but it didn’t make up for the rest. Be sure to order the cookie for dessert, it was tasty and well done.

The old Native New Yorker in Payson changed to Backwoods. Everything about our dining experience was excellent. Maybe the best honey not wings I’ve had in a long time. Perfectly cooked as we like our wings extra crispy. There are plenty of tv’s to see from anywhere in the bar area. Every staff member that we met were very pleasant with quick service. Nice outdoor patio when it’s cool enough to sit outside. Definitely will be back.
