Update: Going back a second time food wasn’t as good granted I had something different. Tortillas were store bought rather than the fresh made ones I had the first time. Wife had quesabirrias but didn’t have the caldo to dip in which is unusual for those.
Tacos El Paisa in twin falls is a great spot. The food is very good, full of flavor and clearly made with care. The prices are very fair for the quality and portion sizes, which is always appreciated. On top of that, the hospitality was really good; the staff was friendly and welcoming. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to and recommending to others. The owner came and spoke with us to see how everything was and she was very kind.

We ordered 2 bean, cheese, rice, and sour cream burritos. They gave us 2 burritos with lettuce, tomatoes, and onions and nothing else. So we go back and tell them, they take 30 minutes to remake it and what do they hand us… 2 burritos… with nothing but rice in them. Wanted to go back to just get a refund but at this point, it had been over an hour and a half since first ordering our food, and they were closed. We had to get Taco Bell instead who actually got our order right and made quickly.
Pictured below are the first burritos we received with only lettuce tomato and onion, and the second set with literally just rice. We will NEVER come back here and will be telling everyone to stay away as well. Truly unbelievable how incompetent this place is.

Garbage. Absolute garbage. Do not go here, and do not be fooled by the “hole-in-the-wall authentic Mexican food” gimmick. This is Jerome, Idaho—a town with a large Hispanic population—and this is what’s being passed off as authentic? Highly doubtful.
What kind of “authentic” Mexican cuisine uses nacho cheese instead of real shredded cheese? Especially in a dairy-farming community, of all places. That alone tells you everything you need to know. The fries were soggy as hell, the asada was dry and severely overcooked, and the overall quality was embarrassingly bad.
This wasn’t just disappointing—it was offensive to anyone who actually knows good food, let alone good Mexican food. And sure, my review probably won’t matter. There will be plenty of five-star reviews after this from people who don’t know the difference between authentic flavor and slop on a plate.
Keep making money serving this nonsense. It won’t hurt your profits when I stop going—but maybe, just maybe, it’ll put a small dent in your ego. Laughable!

Excellent Carne Asada and Pollo tacos. The grilled onions and jalapeño were a nice extra touch. Delicious – don’t be put off by the taco truck in an odd parking lot.
