The service was outstanding. The staff was attentive, friendly, and professional, always present without being intrusive. They truly elevate the overall dining experience.
The food is, quite honestly, a true culinary experience. Each dish is carefully presented, and the flavors are authentic, well-balanced, and memorable. You can clearly taste the quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail in every preparation.
The cocktails also deserve special mention. They are expertly crafted, creative, and perfectly balanced.
No one is paying me to say this — I just genuinely feel more people need to know about this place. It’s rare to find a restaurant that gets everything right.
Overall, this restaurant delivers exceptional food, impeccable service, and a beautiful atmosphere. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an elevated Italian dining experience.
I looked this place up.
The photos look great and they had great reviews.
I was blown away by the service, the freshness, the food was so good. She had chicken marsala. I had chicken piccata. We have the melon prosciutto appetizer, the eggplant appetizer. And for dessert the pistachio ricotta. Oh my God that desert!!!!
The ambiance immediately stood out. The high ceilings and warm, inviting interior create an elegant yet comfortable atmosphere. The modern furniture and portraits of iconic women add a thoughtful, artistic touch. I also appreciated how well-spaced the tables were, making it ideal for date nights, celebrations, or private events.
Service was impeccable. Our server, Matt, was excellent—professional, personable, and attentive with his recommendations, which I always appreciate when visiting a new restaurant. He mentioned that because the restaurant just opened, the team is still small, with only two servers at the moment. Despite that, the staff worked seamlessly together. Chef Roland executed every dish beautifully, and Inga and another team member her name starts with an L (whose name I unfortunately forgot) were both kind and accommodating. I never had to ask for anything; the staff was consistently attentive.
The food, drinks, and dessert were all outstanding. Each dish was beautifully presented and thoughtfully prepared. We ordered entirely based on the server’s suggestions, and every recommendation was spot-on.
The Pear Heaven Salad was refreshing, with perfectly balanced flavors. The bruschetta was soft, flavorful, and not overly sauced. One of the highlights was the Pizzasta—a unique dish from their original location featuring half pasta baked into the dough and half pizza. The pasta was rich, creamy, and full of flavor. The tableside Cioppino was another standout, with a baked dough top that paired perfectly with the seafood sauce. It had a great balance of clams, mussels, calamari, and scallops. The Brunello special was another favorite, especially the sauce, which was rich and flavorful. The Tagliatelle Pesto Pasta was creamy and packed with depth, and the off-menu chicken tacos—a baked chicken breast with Caesar salad and a buttery pesto or aioli—were a pleasant surprise.
For cocktails, we tried the Pistachio Martini and the Tiramisu Martini. Both were well-balanced and true to their names. The pistachio martini reminded me of a cannoli but in liquid form, and the tiramisu martini had a subtle espresso flavor that I really enjoyed. The desserts were equally impressive—beautifully detailed and delicious.
Overall, Cantinetta delivered a memorable dining experience. The combination of exceptional food, attentive service, and a thoughtfully designed space made it a standout. I’ve already recommended it to family and friends and plan to return soon, possibly for my birthday.
Cantinetta is a welcome addition to Southwest Vegas and a strong contender for one of the best new Italian restaurants in Las Vegas
Well, everything was GREAT. We ordered fresh Calamari, Gnocchi Al Teleggio, Penne Aurora, and Chicken Piccata. My wife ordered a Margaretta Pizza which she absolutely loved. I was so happy everyone had such a great time. Matt, our server, was delightful and very attentive and just about became part of our family that night. It’s such a beautiful and comfortable setting – you feel right at home.
So, if you are looking for a great, family-owned Italian dining experience to celebrate your birthday or other occasion, give Cantinetta a call. I highly recommend the restaurant.
Pleasant greeting from the hostess and given every option for seating.
Atmosphere: Outside, being located in one of the many strip malls around Las Vegas, can’t be helped. Inside, it’s Italian garden crossed with modern pop princess. False brick promenade, topiaries, twining grape vines, giant pink tree, and bird cage light fixtures. Pictures of famous ladies with food and wine. Music by the likes of Dean Martin competed with music floating out of the open kitchen. Plenty of natural light from the expansive window frontage.
Server Matthew provided free baguette slices and the typical accoutrements, and stood ready to answer any questions about the menu.
Pear Heaven ($17): Matthew reported that the salad size was large and so it was. Lots of greenery, four pear slices, plenty of cheese chunks, cranberries, and walnuts, heavily drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette. Substantial takeaway.
Spaghetti al Tartuffo ($29): This was a damn the calorie consequences kind of pasta dish. Shaved cheese on top, rich thick creamy cheese sauce below, sandwiching a decent mound of noodles, framed by four peeled jumbo shrimp and sprinkled with almond slices. Citrus very subtle; came out most via the crustaceans. Finished it with a herculean effort, but that meant no dessert this time. Pity as several, like the sweet fettuccines, were very tempting.
Also, Sprite ($4). Free refills!
Value: Above average.
Service: Very attentive from Matthew.
