Named after the Han River, this Annandale restaurant offers Korean BBQ, bibimbop & other Seoul food.

One of the best Korean place for a la carte dishes. They are not the best for bbq.
I have been here for at least 10 times and each time it is a bit all over the place, sometimes great, sometimes terrible.
1. Reservation: not needed usually.
2. Food: great! 4.5 stars
Their chef’s special beef ribs stew is amazing! It used to be $65, now almost $100, it can feed 3 people. Huge price hike in the last 6 months. Soup is great here too.
3. Service: 3 stars
They are quite slow, but very nice.
But yesterday they didn’t come for 45 mins, I had to go fetch the food myself! yet, they expect a huge tip!
4. Interior: spacious, on the dark side, not smelly, so it is better than most other Korean places and you don’t need to shower and launder all your clothes, which is a huge advantage of coming here.

This Korean restaurant is undoubtedly one of the best in Northern Virginia for its wide variety of traditional Korean dishes and high-quality food. The service is always excellent, making it the perfect place to bring your guests. The food they serve here is comparable to Hanjeongsik. I have visited this restaurant multiple times, and the service has always been top-notch. However, the ambiance feels a bit outdated, and they could benefit from updating the decor to enhance the impressive dining experience for anyone looking for the best Korean dining in the area.

Excellent Korean restaurant with varied menu and kind service. I was really excited to order jjukkumi somyeon and naengmyeon in particular. The staff were kind to offer wooden chopsticks to members of our party who were having trouble using the metal ones. They also recommended some menu items based on ability to eat spicy food. I look forward to returning to try more menu items.

Our main reason for choosing Han Gang was so one of our group could get her favorite seafood and scallion pancake that she’s talked about for years. Manager Linda and server Olivia were very attentive and, with our two Korean friends, helped choose a varied and delicious selection of dishes that we all loved. For quality and service, Han Gang can’t be beat. And we were all surprised that our feast was only $23 each, including tax and gratuity.

We really enjoyed this place. We had the spicy pork, marinated chicken BBQ, fried dumplings, squid, and a Bibimbap. All were very good. Service was great. I would definitely recommend this place. UPDATE: We went back again. I also tried the Kimchee soup. It was very good and service was great.

Amazing service and food. I don’t know why this place has less than 5 stars! It’s very difficult to go out to eat with infants, but the manager was soooooo accommodating and helpful. They have a private room for reservations and a separate section for big parties. They have dividers between tables, and each person gets their own set of side dishes.

This is one of the Korean restaurants that we’ve visited multiple times in Annandale. The menu is extensive, with everything from classic dishes to Korean BBQ.
The food was delicious—well-seasoned, fresh, and satisfying. Prices are a bit expensive, but the quality and portion sizes generally justify it. The restaurant has a large dining area, which is great for groups, though it can still get busy during peak hours.
Plenty space for parking outside the restaurant.

We have been regulars since their opening eighteen years ago. Because of my mom’s lack of mobility, we have not been so regular. We do make sure Han Gang is our Restaurant of choice whenever we celebrate. Today, was such date—-my mom’s birthday. It seemed like the entire front of the house staff stopped by to see how we were doing and if we needed anything. The manager brought out some ice cream with a candle to celebrate her special day. It was a great visit and the food was good as it always is.

Two hungry adults went there on early Friday evening, several Korean locals already there. We ordered their chief special Galbi Jjim. The dish was huge with satisfied beef, very tender and juicy. The sauce was thick, sweet and spicy. We couldn’t finish it and packed the rest for tomorrow. The server was also friendly and helped us cut the meat, refilled side dishes and packed leftovers.

Wonderful food. My one heel was that the lady cooked all of our BBQ for us. I like Korean bbq because we can cook as a table, talk, and fight over who’s peice of meet is still taking up space. Instead those moments were replaced with a women leaning over the middle of the table and stopping all conversations at there roots.
