2PC Lemongrass Pork Steam Bun $6.50 we use the extra pork fat that we trim from the grilled pork, flash fry it, and top it like a banh mi.

An amazing new place in the city, owned by the daughter of the Lee’s Sandwich empire, she clearly knows her stuff! She was so sweet and her service staff are friendly. Everything was fresh and the serving size was more than enough to leave me STUFFED especially for the price! The box comes with ample meat, rice, egg, and veggies with chili crisp to really make the flavors pop.
The atmosphere was very cute, clean, and modern. It was a little hot and sweaty, my only gripe was they might need to add more fans but it wasn’t super uncomfortable. I would go again in a heartbeat!!!

I had the chicken rice box and chicken spring rolls (they have other options as well). Both were great!
Bun Box is primarily a drive-thru. They do have a walk-up window and a rad little enclosed outdoor dining area where you can sit and eat, but it was too cold and windy the day I visited to linger outside.

We got 2 steam buns, a rice w/ chicken & a bún with pork & it was like $35. Both were delicious but next time would get the rice with the pork (the pork was so delicious and sweet) and the egg over medium (it came over hard). And any of the steam buns…those were the best. The chicken is fried though an we weren’t expecting that although very yummy!
Took about 5-10 mins for our food to be ready. Outdoor seating was so nice & super esthetically pleasing (no indoor seating), the shade at noon was great with a little breeze! Will definitely be back!!

WOW!! we stopped in to grab lunch and were blown away. We got the pork lemongrass noodles (we added garlic) and they were EXCELLENT! The sauces were so good. We also got the five egg rolls for $4.75 (mixed bag of pork, chicken, veggie) and they were so good. This dish was a perfect balance of fresh veggies, delicious pork, flavorful but simple sauces, and perfectly cooked noodles. I could eat this every day. Very filling and we felt an excellent value at $11/box.
The staff were all so helpful and kind. The owner is on-site delivering excellent service, she was so nice.
Our toddler needed the restroom while we were there, it was very clean. The whole place was spotless, the outdoor/shaded eating area was nice and would be a great place to eat out in warm weather. 5/5, will absolutely be back very soon.

Bún Box is, hands down, one of the best places to get high quality takeout. The food is made fresh, fast, and exceedingly flavorful. I highly recommend their Lemongrass Pork with vermicelli noodles and their new steamed buns (see attached pic- they’re the “taco” looking items) in any variety. When I’m looking for a flavorful and satisfying meal, I know I’ll get a huge bang for my buck with Bún Box!

I got the lemongrass rice box and it is phenomenal. The meat is cooked just right. I really enjoyed the kimchi cucumbers and carrot daikon salad. Definitely will go back again. Enjoy that it’s only an outdoor eating area. Service was very fast and friendly.

This place is awesome! From the coffee to the egg rolls. They are keeping it simple with choices :rice or noodles, chicken or pork?
Even veggie options for those who would rather not have chicken or pork.

I’ve been an avid Lee’s customer for years and I was excited to learn that Bún Box was opening in the Asian District! My go to order is the Vegan Bún and the veggie spring rolls. It’s to die for! BB is great for take out but I love sitting in the covered patio and enjoying it there also. You can also visit Military Park next door as well for more seating when it gets full. BB is consistently delicious, friendly staff, they offer affordable prices and abundant portions. Bún Box is definitely in my weekly rotation for local restaurants and they’re even adding more menu items! So exciting to see the Asian district grow and flourish!

I love everything about this place. The food is THE best Vietnamese in the city. I keep telling myself I am going to try something different, but I always get the Lemongrass Pork Bun. I love the atmosphere and the beautiful patio that makes you feel like you’re in a little secluded oasis in the middle of the city. So well done!
