I met a couple of friends here for dinner around 5pm on a Thursday. There was ample parking in the lot and the location was easy to find. The building is definitely a staple of the Rock Creek area. I grew up down the street and remember this place as a kid. It was a dive bar then but I can tell the new owners have fixed up the place quite a bit.

The staff was super friendly when I entered and the service was top notch. They don’t do reservations at this time so it is first come first serve. Also note there is a 90min time limit per table to make sure customers get a seated in a timely fashion. I also noticed they were following all Covid guidelines like masks, social distancing and cleaning procedures.

We decided to sit inside the dining room by the window to enjoy our meal. The menu is limited but the food is good. We ordered steak, chicken and salmon. Everything was very fresh and flavorful. I can tell they take their time sourcing local ingredients either from their garden outside or from the local market. They also had a decent selection of beer on tap and a few other drinks as well.

Overall it was a great meal and I would recommend stopping in here if you are out this way!

Pretty good food but on the pricier side. The calamari was exquisitely flavored but could have crispier.

Chicken skewers were delicious. Perfectly moist and not over-cooked. Pretty small portion.

The burger on the other hand was nice and large. Medium rare, just as I asked. The sauce they used was very rich and would’ve been quite overbearing had I not split it.

Overall pleasant experience. We sat outside. The serving staff was fantastic and checked on us at the frequency.

Honestly this place has become one of my favorite places to go to eat here in (west) Portland. Some of our favorite meals over the last year were the squash risotto (last year late summer – seasonal), the steak frites, and the smoked pork sandwich. I recommend this place to practically everyone, highly recommend. I don’t think we have had a dish we didn’t like.

(The photos probably date back to when we first started coming, approximately late summer 2021)

Had a good brunch day, excellent place with pet friendly. They had great menu options, to choose from. The chicken and the bread was excellent in taste, the veggie omelette and the fries were great too. Definitely coming back for more food options.

Great brunch menu and friendly service at RCC, big sheltered patio, one of our favorite brunch go-to restaurants. My hubby had the smoked salmon hash (no potatoes, extra veg), extremely tasty. I had one biscuit and gravy with two eggs scrambled soft with cheese. Let me tell you this is the only restaurant where the chef understands scrambled soft… perfect! The biscuits are light and the gravy is awesome, best in town. Add bottomless mimosas to that and you have the perfect brunch experience!

Food is ok and it is just regular American food. If you are a healthy eater, I wouldn’t choose this place. Not much options to select from the menu. Good customer service and a nice place to go for breakfast.

Having dinner here was a great experience. We got seated at a their lovely outdoor patio with our puppy who got a lot of love from the employees and other customers.
The menu was limited but we loved the dishes we tried, the crispy potatoes appetizer and the risotto. The risotto was a new menu item as some of their items keep changing as they offer new dishes.
All the servers was very warm and welcoming. We will definitely return

It was my first visit. The lamb dish was delicious. The inside decor was very cute and cozy. Our waitress was very nice and sweet. She came and gave my kids chocolates when we told her we don’t wanted any dessert. I thought it was so sweet. I would definitely visit again.

Cozy, comfortable, well themed environment. Server was friendly and prompt
Went for brunch and could only order off the brunch menu but okay because it had nice variety of options with fair prices. Food was so tasty and well cooked. Looking forward to go again when it’s warmer to eat outside!

Eggs Benedict was delicious and you can bring your pup if you sit outside! The OJ was super tiny for $5 and my mom didn’t like the coffee either, but the food was great. They also charge an extra 3% health fee as FYI.
