Hanbat Shul Lung Tang is a Korean soup restaurant on Harry Hines in Dallas, nearby H Mart Dallas Harry Hines, and they’ve been doing this for over 10 years. The whole menu is built around traditional Korean bone broth soups, the kind that take 12 to 24 hours of simmering to get right.
Their signature is Seolleongtang, a milky beef bone broth served with brisket or flank, but they also do Galbitang (short rib soup), Gamjatang (pork backbone stew), Dogani Tang (ox knee cartilage), and Uguhji Haejang Guk, which is the classic Korean hangover soup.
If you’ve been looking for an authentic Korean bone broth restaurant in Dallas, this is really the spot. They’re open every day, 8 AM to 9:30 PM on Sundays and 8 AM to 10 PM the rest of the week.
Bone broth & hot pot are popular at this unassuming, pared-down Korean joint with classic fare.

This restaurant has the best authentic Korean soups!! We usual get the rice cake and dumplings soup and the galbi. I love the little side dishes we eat those up before the food even gets to our table. The workers there are always sweet. Amazing food and great vibes!!

I still enjoy LA Hanbat. It’s our go-to for takeout so lang tang. I saw a review mentioning that the name is Dallas Hanbat- the outside sign definitely still says LA Hanbat but I see google listing them as Dallas Hanbat.
I think the previous owners have sold out because I don’t see the same older sweet grandmas that always welcomed me. Still the new owners have been friendly. Quality – I feel like the soup is slightly thinner than it used to be but it’s still good. When I order a slightly larger to- go order they bolster the banchans which I like – in addition to the kimchi and radish which you always get I have received those little pancakes with scallion and onion, some potatoes with sweet gochujang sauce, and some jang ah chee (pickeled onions, pickles, celery and peppers). Really good.

Been to the one in LA several times and everything tasted about the same. I really missed the Kkakdugi and it was just as good as I remembered. I got the Dogani Tang (Ox Knee Soup) and ate the entire thing, so gooood! Hubby loved the Kalbi, said he wished he ordered more. Staff was so welcoming and friendly. Plus they open early, 8am.

I teally enjoyed the food and my time here. The Mixed Soup was delicious and the Korean side dishes were a welcome surprise. I wasn’t expecting them. The staff was very friendly. Definitely worth a shot, if you’re in the area.

Highly recommend the #6, GalBi Tang. The short rib tastes a bit like pot roast and reminds me of my grandmother. Delicious! The dumpling soup, #36 Mandu Guk was also really good if you’re into pork dumplings.
