My wife was in the area and wanted to try something different. So I drove 30 miles to meet up with her. It was a very nice looking place. The service was great. The food had large portions and tasted great. It was well worth my drive and I will be back.

Our family went to visit at 2:40 on a Tuesday. Our server was very blah. Told me “nah” when I asked if they had Chalula or Louisiana hot sauce. She offered the table next to us if they wanted seasoned or shoestring fries after we had ordered. We didn’t get that option. We ordered a cheeseburger platter, catfish plate, kids catfish and a fried cheese app. The cheese came out as frozen cheese sticks with mediocre marinara sauce. The fries, we did not eat. We used to LOVE Cahoots but after today’s experience, we won’t be back.

went a few weeks ago and service was so horrible that me and the two others eating with me decided to ask for our food to go instead before it even came to the table, which was also met with awkwardness. 2 of us left a tip at the register still, and the girl laughed instead of even saying thank you. not sure what was funny. i will always give credit where credit is due. i’m a server myself. food was delicious. LOVED the fried mushrooms. however, the entire experience with staff was incredibly awkward. we were not greeted at the door, so we sat ourselves. maybe that was the problem if that’s not normal protocol, however, as we had never been there, we were unsure and no one spoke to us when we came in or instructed us on what to do. we did not feel welcome at all, despite the fact the waitress was literally sat down at the table next to us about their family and everything else. as a server, i understand being closer with regulars. however, it is unprofessional to be sitting at the table with them chopping it up when you have other tables. just because we are not regulars doesn’t mean we don’t deserve good service, as I would’ve been a repeat customer based on food alone, but i cannot get over the fact it was so awkward and uncomfortable. servers are meant to be friendly and make you feel welcome (you know, making you want to become regulars). i felt we had inconvenienced them by coming into the dead restaurant. i drove from athens, AL. to visit and will not be back, which is a shame because im still thinking about those fried mushrooms. best of luck. would appreciate friendlier staff with southern hospitality.

So use to eat here way back when and it use to be good before Covid ever since then it’s just gone downhill, first off you can’t sit up front anymore apparently without reservations and then you have to sit in this back part with long cafeteria tables with trash bags over it as tablecloth’s, for the price of the food here the ambience could be greatly improved, honestly if you want great food and nice atmosphere and a great value Applebees is way better oh and they no longer have the steak fries, looks more like fast food fries you’d get from McDonald’s or something

I think it is the place to go in Fayetteville for a more “fancy” meal. The place is a transformed county jail. They have a wide range of food choices. I loved my club sandwich and fried dill pickles. Their taco salad and fried cheese was just so-so.

So first of all you don’t get to sit in the “nice” part of the restaurant unless you have a reservation which I use the word nice loosely.
Second off, if you do go there without a reservation you’ll be seated in what looks like a basement with junk tables and what I assume is trash bags for tablecloths, on top of that the food was expensive for the lousy atmosphere and it was absolutely terrible! I didn’t even taste what looked to me like a microwave meal!!! Seriously you’re gonna charge 20 bucks for rubbery noodles and what literally looked like thin pieces of chicken skin!!! EWWW!!!!! Never again ever going there again!!!! I don’t recommend anything here

$4 and sum for loaded cheese fries. Like the price. For the amount I will buy again. Good snaking without feeling too tired eating a full lunch. 1st time getting food. Customer service was nice and knowledgeable about menu. Have not tried anything else just yet. Will post pictures when I get more from the menue/. 9/20/22- Steak salad. Added green peppers ans extra tomatoes. Is delicious. 9/27/22 = today was a steak potato with extra Tomato. No milk products. So no cheese no sour cream.extra bacon bits too was $16.97

Cahoots was recommended by a friend. It was our 1st visit. We had the onion ring appetizer. Ribeye Steak, shrimp, and a burger/fries. The steak and shrimp came with a salad, and potato. The onion ring appetizers came out very quickly, and were hot and very delicious. Good portion size.
The salad was crisp fresh, and they brought plenty of dressing. All the food was cooked perfectly to order. The value was excellent. When compared to most restaurants, and inflation…. the prices were very reasonable here. Our server was so fast, and efficient!

It was OK. I’ve wanted to go for a long time. Finally went with a gal pal. I didn’t see the old jail decor or atmosphere I expected. But the 2 of us were seated at a old diner type table for 6 in the front corner even though the place wasn’t half full. So maybe there was better atmosphere elsewhere. It was just us and the flies where we were.

My husband and I went tonight for our first time. We have recently moved to Lincoln county from Huntsville. We very much enjoyed our dinner as well as the atmosphere. Our server was great and the prices were very reasonable. We will definitely be back!
