My first time visiting. I treated myself to lunch and had a crab cake that was lightly deep fried then broiled to finish, nice size mix of lump and mixture, taste, really awesome. 14 dollar deal. I have had Box Hill, Fraidleys, G&M, Olive Grove, and others. You won’t be disappointed. Then I splurged on cream of crab 7.25 cup. Fantastic! Flavor, lump crab, texture perfect. Then I got the fries and gravy. A meal by itself, great! I then got a 8 inch cheese steak sub, and a 8 inch shrimp salad sub that were plenty large to take home. I forgot to photo the shrimp salad I ate for dinner, but it was stuffed with large shrimp, perfect seasoning, flavor, perfect roll. The cheese steak the family ate was stuffed full of ribeye, fired onions, cheese, lettuce and tomato. Fantastic sub! Additional note I watched other orders made and was very impressed with the food I saw.

It was my first time having Sam’s. Someone posted on facebook asking where to get the best cheesesteaks in Harford County, and this was the consensus.

I called ahead for takeout.

I immediately went to eat my fries. Which I was most excited about. And was hit with a wave of disappointment. I ordered “Pizza Fries,” but no pizza sauce. ” The employee simplified it down to “mozzarella fries” and the kitchen took that as “disco fries” and I was very disappointed to put my fork into my delicious looking mozzarella fries, only to br greeted with a a container full of gravy.

I called to ask them why my mozzarella fries were doused in gravy, and they explained that the kitchen must’ve thought I wanted disco fries.

They offered a credit to get something of equal or lesser value the next time I go there, but this was supposed to be a one-time thing. I wasn’t planning on going back.

The disco fries aren’t bad. They taste pretty good. But they’re just not what I wanted. So I didn’t eat much of them.

I was wildly disappointed when I started eating my Cream of Crab soup. It tasted like Maryland crab soup, or half a half.

It was probably the most disappointing cream of crab soup I ever had, and I love cream of crab soup and get it everywhere. It always tastes different.

I did not eat much of it at all.

The cheesesteak, however, was great. It was huge. I couldnt even finish a third of it.

Probably the phattest cheesesteak I’ve had.

I would 100% recommend getting the cheesesteak and disco fries.

Don’t bother with the cream of crab soup.

This was my first and last time coming here!

Pros:
Easy to place order over the phone
Friendly service when picking up order + very communicative
Hot food – especially liked the toasted bread, nice filling of cheesesteak

Cons:
My order was NOT made how I ordered it, it was completely dry as there was no mayo or ketchup as requested, the only juice on my sandwich was from the relish hots that were added.
My sandwich was made before my fries, no biggie, however I waited about 10 minutes for fries and when done they were overcooked, to the point I couldn’t even finish them because they were unpleasant at $4.50 just for fries I wasted money
Hardly could taste the provolone cheese
The cheesesteak was okay, I can tell the meat isn’t seasoned

To be the best sandwiches around it would be great to get the orders right, and if something can’t be added that should be known.

My husband and I have been ordering from Sam’s for over 9 years – we have always for the most part been very pleased with them. However, this evening I placed an order and was disturbingly disappointed. Not only was the steak sub I order every single time was wrong, it was darn near close to burnt, way over done and dry, missing condiments . To extreme disappointment when I called to voice my displeasure, not only was I cut short, I was told to bring the sub back and if they agreed that it was wrong and over cooked they would replace it. Why would I want it replaced at this point. I just wanted to express my displeasure. I actually fed it to my dog – that’s how bad it was. The discussion was not only curt but just shy of disrespectful. I am so disappointed in Sam’s. Never have I been treated like this there and I do not think I will ever return and/or refer anyone there again. I am now on the hunt again for another great steak sub – so any suggestions would he welcome. Sincerely disappointed

Hard not to love their cheesesteaks. They really are one of the best tasting cheesesteak joints in Harford County. We’ve been ordering from here for probably 10 years and it’s hands down my son’s all time favorite place. They could improve the temp of the fries. Sometimes they are sitting there and get cold by the time they bag them.

We drive 45 minutes for carryout subs from Sams. Easily the best American Cold Cut with a perfectly simbiotic relationship between meat, bread and toppings. We always pair the Cold Cut with the delectable and perfectly seasoned shrimp salad. Sams does not skimp on the shrimp – No mini shrimp here ever! If you like a not too creamy but creamy shrimp salad seasoned with just the right amount of crab seasoning – You Must Try Sams! While you’re there, you can’t miss with the crispy outside and fluffy inside french fries, fried mushrroms that are more than worth the extra few minutes, and don’t miss the onion rings – real sliced onion covered in a crispy but not too bready coating.

The subs are large enough to split between two people, and you’ll appreciate the generous portions of the fries, mushrooms, and onion rings.

I drive 2 plus hours just to their shrimp salad. You can’t beat it. !!! It’s definitely the best. The people that work there are the best. Very friendly.

A big waste of my money! I should have heeded their bad food reviews that stated that they overuse salt, and went elsewhere. But, I thought it only applied to their cheesesteak subs. Our roast beef and the french fries platters were so overly salted that they were inedible. We trashed them uneaten. (money in the trash) It was like trying to consume meat soaked in sea salt for days.

Best Cheesesteak in Maryland! My friend who is a regular there told me to try. First off very clean, polite staff, and made to order. For $18.50 I got the meal deal which was whole Cheesesteak, 20 ounce soda, and gravy fries. It’s carry out only but picnic tables outside I ate sub there. Was loaded with meat! I’m a big eater and could barely finish it! Saves gravy fries for later! My new Sub place forever now! Highly recommend them you won’t be disappointed at all!
