This is a great place on Hwy 98 in Lillian, Alabama. Food was really good. Entertainment made it fun to be there. We met the owner and his wife and great people and I even got to meet the Marlboro poster guy! How cool! Worth the drive to have a little fun and enjoy some good food! Cool atmosphere! It was outdoor and indoor seating. Pet friendly! Very friendly folks!

My husband went on and on about how good his burger was AND our waitress, Crystal, was great! She was serving A LOT of tables and yet managed it all like a seasoned pro! ❤️ Plus, the music venue that night was awesome!
HOWEVER, if you can’t handle cigarette smoke, this may not be the place for you because although, folks step outside to smoke, it’s an open air type of building (like a porch )…so, it’s still pretty smokey if that’s not your thing.

Stopped by for a quick lunch while running a job nearby. Great service, great food & great atmosphere. What else can you say?!? We need more places like this. The firecracker shrimp is the bomb and the oysters are not too shabby.

Fun looking place and we were so hopeful. Shrimp po boy consisted of 6 very small cold shrimp on a huge grilled roll that was very good, but served with old limp lettuce. Hubs shrimp basket had the same small order of just a few small shrimp but at least they were a bit warmer. In fairness, waitress told us they weren’t fresh and nothing in the area was. This is not true as every other place we’ve been had great fresh shrimp that are huge. Onion rings were good and the French fries were amazing. Beers came in different sizes “you get what you get”. The karaoke was entertaining and the people were nice. Love a great dive bar, but we won’t be back.

A fun place to meet friends. It has an eclectic feel whether you sit inside or out.
Get there after 4 if you want to enjoy music by local musicians. You can also bring your dog if you sit outside.

**★★★★★ A Reliable Gem with Great Atmosphere**
Johnny B’s Front Porch consistently delivers exactly what you hope for in a local spot. The music is always on point – whether you’re looking for something to set the mood for conversation or just want to enjoy some quality tunes, they never disappoint with their selections.
The staff truly makes this place special. Both the bartenders and waitstaff are genuinely friendly and welcoming, creating that comfortable neighborhood vibe that keeps you coming back. You can count on your drinks being perfectly cold every time, and the food consistently meets expectations – no surprises, just solid execution of what you ordered.
It’s the kind of place where you know what you’re getting, and that reliability paired with the warm atmosphere makes Johnny B’s Front Porch a winner. Whether you’re stopping by for drinks with friends or settling in for a meal, you’ll leave satisfied.

Last minute decision to drive to Alabama for lunch (we were vacationing in Florida) and came upon Johnny B’s
The waitress was friendly, the service was fast and the food was delicious!
The Reuben was chock full of meat, the cheeseburger was hand made – when was the last time anyone had a handmade hamburger in a restaurant?
Johnny even came over for a chat!
We will be back for live music next time we visit Florida!
The decor is quaint and they also have some beautiful artwork for sale!

The best little local hang out. The waitress was more than perfect. She accommodated the adults and kids. No one seemed to mind if out kids danced and enjoyed themselves. Its well worth a visit and spending your hard earned dollar on. The food was delicious.

Terrific sandwiches, large portions, great onion rings, fun “game day” atmosphere, and the best fried pickles! We’ve driven by this place and were during to try it. We ordered Muffulettas, Grilled Cheese, union rings and fried pickles over the phone for carry out. After the order we had a little bit of sticker shock (see picture) but now I know what it means to choose “half a sandwich” or a “whole sandwich.” Just look at these portions. We had enough food for two days! Wow! Great food! Did I mention the fried pickles?!? Probably the best I’ve ever had.
