Yeasty Beasty is hands down the best pizza around.
Let’s break it down:
• Pizza (the pie kind)
• Calzones
• Pizza by the slice
• The best garlic breadsticks ever (garlic beasty bites, thank me later)
• Homemade sauces. Get the ranch.
• Arcade games
• Beer on tap
• Cider on tap
• Non-alcoholic beers
• Sodas for the kids
• Napkins on the tables (this matters)
• Seat-yourself, no-pressure vibe
To go, dine in, whatever you’re doing, it’s worth it.
As a mom, I hate having to cave to everyone else’s pizza preferences. I want all the meat. My kids want plain cheese. This setup is a dream. I get my slice. They get theirs. Nobody settles. Nobody breaks the bank. Win, win, win. And yes, adult drinks are part of the equation.
My husband and teenage son are all about the calzones. I’ve never been a calzone girly, but they look amazing and the boys keep ordering them, so that tells you something. For me and the four-year-old, it’s slices all day. Meaty Beasty for me. Cheese for her.
If you live in or near Monmouth and aren’t eating here yet, fix that immediately.
Service could have been a little quicker but they were backed up due to a local sporting event.
This place is a great option to come if you have vegetarians in your party.
On a Saturday night the place was busy but our pizza took only about 15 minutes to arrive. Unfortunately the pizza was just OK on some slices the crust was very dry and on another slice the dough was undercooked.
The ingredients were so so with plain sauce, ok meats, and canned pineapple slices. I asked for ranch sauce after the pizza was brought to our table and had to pay 85 cents extra. Then I had to find the person I paid several minutes to actually get the sauce.
I might give this place another try some day but I’m not in a rush to hurry back.
My main issue was the cost. I get it: times are tight and inflation is still crazy. But dropping $20 for such a little thing plus a pop was a bit disappointing.
