First off, the value here is simply unbeatable. You get top-notch sushi without breaking the bank, which is a huge plus, especially for a dedicated sushi enthusiast like me. But it’s not just about the cost; it’s the sheer variety that truly sets Sushi Kiku apart. Whether you’re craving classic nigiri, inventive specialty rolls, or even something beyond sushi from their extensive menu, they genuinely have something for everyone. I’m always discovering new favorites alongside my go-to orders.
Beyond the delicious food and fantastic prices, the atmosphere at Sushi Kiku is always spot on. It’s got a great, relaxed vibe that makes every visit enjoyable, whether I’m dining solo or with friends. It’s the kind of place where you can unwind and truly savor your meal.
And I absolutely cannot write a review without giving a special shout-out to Christopher. He is, without a doubt, the best server there! Christopher consistently goes above and beyond, making every visit even more pleasant with his attentiveness, friendly demeanor, and helpful recommendations. He’s a huge part of why my bi-weekly sushi fix at Kiku is always something I look forward to.
If you’re looking for an amazing sushi experience with great prices, endless options, a wonderful atmosphere, and top-tier service (especially from Christopher!), then Sushi Kiku is an absolute must-try. You won’t be disappointed!
The restaurant smells weird. Usually that would be my cue to leave, but a friend invited me, so I stuck with it. The bathroom smells like a sewer.
I’m very surprised that they have a 4.4 and people are calling it their go to spot. I would never eat here again. I literally went to another restaurant afterwards because I couldn’t eat what I ordered here.
The one thing this place really lacks though are dessert options. Select Matcha or even Red Bean ice cream would pair well with the rest of the menu and would be relatively inexpensive.
Just a thought.
All the sushi is listed at fifty percent off, and that clearly draws a crowd, but since the list price is so far above market rate, it basically offsets any discount the customer may have enjoyed. They don’t even list prices on their paper menu, which seems dishonest. Instead you scan a QR code menu, which will give you prices, but only some of the pictures load, so you don’t really know what you’re getting.
The food itself is pretty good. The miso soup comes with fresh mushrooms, which is a nice touch, and the ginger salad dressing is fresh and tangy.
The sushi is fresh but don’t expect any frills on the regular roll… The best bang for your buck is probably the Rainbow Roll, although it also seems like pains have been taken to conceal the price of it.
Eel roll is a little more oily than I’m used to, which made it difficult to taste the other fresh fish I ordered.
The staff is very friendly, but the vibe here is… Strange. The music is a bizarre mix of country music and top 40 hits. Could benefit from some simple strings and a running fountain or something.
