The food was amazing and the extensive menu had something for everyone. We went for lunch on Valentine’s Day without a reservation and the staff was extremely accomadating. This was our first time here and we will definitely be back.

My wife and I just ate here for the first time and we already can’t wait to come back! Everything we had was delicious (and well portioned) and there is so much more we would like to try on the menu. Nice to have a selection of Polish beer as well!

Yesterday, I dined inside of this quiet and lovely Polish restaurant in honor of Veterans Day (also the 107th anniversary of the First World War ending) and this was also Polish Independence Day! I had a delightful time having dinner here. The eleventh of November was my fifth time going to Wallington.

I loved the hot and dark red borscht soup with dumplings served in a ceramic bowl, the potato pancakes with sheep’s cheese, sour cream, sauerkraut, and lastly, I had Polish Apple Pie. In essence, this was my very first time having Polish cuisine on Polish Independence Day,; I am abundantly delighted to have done this and I would love to return to this place soon.

The food and service were good, some of the prices were a bit High and I do feel that $6 for a fountain soda is excessive, especially when they charge you for a refill. It was absolutely freezing in the restaurant. Almost every table is positioned underneath a vent in the ceiling which blows directly down toward the table. When the system would kick on you would get a blast of Arctic cold air (like from an air conditioning unit) for a prolonged time. When the air would stop blowing it would allow the room to warm up slightly and then turn on again. We spoke to the waitress about it and she said the staff is hot and that’s why they turned the air on. She then said no problem, they will adjust the temperature. This obviously did not happen and we continued to get blasted with cold air from the vent above for the two hours we were there. We Had to wear our winter jackets the entire time of our visit to this restaurant. When I looked around, many other tables were wearing their winter jackets as well. It’s the middle of winter and it’s cold enough outside, who wants to come visit a restaurant that is expensive and you cannot enjoy your meal? The service and food was good but the overall experience was not worth it.

Stopped in for lunch and was thrilled with the whole experience!

The space is so nicely put together, the staff were all so welcoming and knew the menu front to back (great recommendations).

Food was all amazing; the presentation, flavor, and food was cooked to perfection!

I can’t find a single word to describe this place — incredible, exciting, beautiful, and the food is insanely delicious. I had zapikanka and a chicken cutlet, and it was the best chicken cutlet in my life! The staff are very friendly, especially Renia (I hope I spelled that right). I will definitely be back!

Repast luncheon for 50 people – excellent in every way! We came to Tatra Haus for our parents Repast luncheon. We are from out of state so had to do all the coordination over the phone. Maggie was fantastic, her customer service, response time, politeness and attention to detail were all superb. She alleviated all of our stress over the phone by telling us “Don’t worry about anything, everything will be beautiful!” and it was. The atmosphere inside is warm and inviting. The food was phenomenal – authentic polish food that was all delicious! We had the pierogies, kielbasa and Chicken with lemon and dill, sauerkraut, cucumber salad, chicken soup, not to mention the desserts which were also fantastic! I cannot thank Tatra Haus enough for a beautiful Repast lunch for our family. We had originally gave them a count of 35 people, but more people actually showed up, and they handled it with professionalism and grace, setting up extra tables and somehow no issues with having plenty of food. Excellent service, excellent food, and wonderful people. Thank you so much!

I recently had my wedding reception here, and it was absolutely amazing! The owner was incredibly kind and helpful throughout the entire process, making everything so easy and stress-free. The staff were warm and welcoming to all of my guests, both Polish- and English-speaking, which made everyone feel comfortable and included. The food was absolutely delicious — our guests are still raving about it! The venue itself was beautifully decorated and spotless, creating the perfect atmosphere for our special day. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience — truly a wonderful place for any celebration! ✨

We recently dined at Tatra Haus in Wallington, NJ, and were thoroughly impressed. From start to finish, it was a memorable experience that exceeded expectations. The cuisine is authentically Polish—rich, hearty, and clearly crafted with care and tradition. Every dish we tried was flavorful and satisfying, with generous portions that truly reflect the warmth of Eastern European hospitality.

While the exterior may be modest, stepping inside transports to the Carpathian Mountains—with a cozy and rustic atmosphere. The service was attentive and personable, striking just the right balance of professionalism and friendliness.

The bar is exceptionally well-stocked, with a thoughtful selection and impressively tall pours that complement the dining experience beautifully.

In short, Tatar Haus offers an exceptional blend of authenticity, ambiance, and generous hospitality. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.

Last night was my 3rd dining experience at Tatra Haus and was excellent as both previous visits were. I dined with a close friend. We shared a mixed appetizer consisting of kielbasa, pierogies, potato pancakes and sauerkraut with condiments. For our entrees, my guest enjoyed a fish filet and I had pork medallions, broccoli, baked potato, and sauerkraut. Both entrees were excellently prepared and both were generous portions. Service was timely and attentive. We ate very early and did not have to wait for a table. Parking was available at the Wallington Veterans Memorial Library parking lot next door. Great meal, pleasant evening.
