“House of Thai” is an absolute gem, and deserves every one of these five stars! From the moment we walked in, the entire experience—the ambiance, service, and of course, the food—was truly amazing.
A massive highlight is that their entire menu is 100% Halal, which offers fantastic peace of mind and makes this the perfect spot for the Muslim community and anyone seeking quality Thai cuisine.
The food was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and tasted incredibly authentic. The service was warm, attentive, and incredibly welcoming. Beyond the great dining, they offer a detail that truly sets them apart: a beautifully maintained prayer room. This shows a level of thoughtfulness and consideration for their patrons that is genuinely rare.
We were incredibly happy with our visit and would strongly recommend “House of Thai” to everyone. It’s a wonderful spot for a relaxed, delicious meal. We can’t wait to go back!
Ps. Not every every question on phone call about if you guys do bacon is a prank call. I felt someone hung up on me. But I wanted to clarify if you guys serve bacon ( many places do) as it can may cross contaminate. Just peace of mind.

This is my all-time favourite restaurant. The food tastes incredible, every dish is full of flavour, and the portions are so generous! The prices are very affordable, which makes it even better.
The food is also prepared extremely quickly, our plates are always served in less than 15 minutes, no matter how many dishes we order. It’s so impressive how efficiently the kitchen runs without ever compromising on quality.
The staff are super friendly and welcoming. When we celebrated a farewell here, they were so accommodating and organised with all the orders, everything went perfectly.
There’s plenty of seating, so there’s never a long wait, and they even give 10% off if you pay in cash, such a nice bonus!
I couldn’t recommend this place more. Amazing food, great service, and great value. Truly a 10/10 experience every time!

Visited here on a Sunday afternoon. The waiter Beer has exceptional service. Shes so lovely and welcoming. The creamy basil noodles were delicious and both entrees were great. They have lost a star for me because the prices are to the higher side.

My family and I have been coming to this restaurant for years, but after our recent visit, we won’t be returning. The service and food quality have gone drastically downhill. We ordered the Hokkien noodles and black pepper beef stir fry – both were inedible. The flavour was completely off, and the portion sizes were tiny. The Hokkien noodles had barely any vegetables, and the black pepper beef had a strange, overly sweet chilli taste instead of the rich, savoury black pepper flavour you’d expect.
When the manager asked how our meal was, I gave honest feedback and said I didn’t enjoy the stir fry. Instead of listening, she became defensive and hostile. She even tried to gaslight me, claiming she hadn’t said she liked the dish when I’d asked before ordering – despite clearly recommending it. Her tone was condescending and rude, asking, “Where are you going with this? What do you want?” as if an apology or acknowledgment was unreasonable.
Rather than taking constructive feedback, the manager dismissed our comments entirely, saying, “That’s how it’s made, you just have to deal with it.” Absolutely unacceptable attitude. The entire experience was uncomfortable and unprofessional. I would strongly advise avoiding this restaurant.

Food is alright, not that great. Wouldn’t come back here for the food, it left something to be desired.
The service is alright but not great. They are nice and accommodating but nothing extra which is fine.

The spring rolls are probably the worst tasting spring rolls I’ve ever had.
The price is what you would expect for a Thai place and the serving sizes are decent enough.

You will enjoy The Authentic Thai Food in this place. We were 8 people and ordered three different kinds of Tom Yum soup and 3 different dishes of Rice (Chicken, Beef and Duck). Quantity was enough for all of us. Food tastes was Good! Specially Soup items, But the quantity of Chicken, Beef and Duck was less in the rice dishes. We tried to order a Fish fry but their Kitchen will be closed at 9:30pm so they don’t take the fish order. It was 9:05pm we entered into the restaurant. However, we all enjoyed the food until our tummy got tired!
Total bill was $107.40 (if we pay cash) and for Card payment it was $119.45 so better to pay cash instead of card!

We had a very unpleasant experience at The House of Thai, Bankstown. Four of our friends were already seated and dining when my two brothers and I decided to join them last minute. Despite the restaurant having space, we were told we were not allowed to sit together and were asked to sit separately, which made no sense given we were all part of the same group.
The way this was communicated was extremely rude and unwelcoming. The staff showed no effort to be polite, accommodating, or professional. When we questioned the situation, their behaviour became even more unpleasant.
What made the experience worse was that as we decided to leave, the staff were laughing, which felt disrespectful and insulting. Overall, the customer service was very poor, and it left us feeling frustrated and disappointed.
Unfortunately, based on this experience, we would not recommend this restaurant and will not be returning.
