We truly enjoyed our experience at Vaqueros in Pendleton! It has a cozy atmosphere and an affordable, full menu. Absolutely monstrous queso smothered burrito! My wife loved the surf & turf style fajitas; plenty of leftovers. We would definitely visit again.

I’m usually able to be seated quickly. There was a little wait for someone to take our order. The food was a little bit slow in coming but not too bad. Our food was delicious when it came. There seems to be a language barrier here. More so than in most Mexican restaurants. I’m not sure they understand what I’m saying. Our order was mixed up as a result of this. But we enjoyed our meal there. If there were not another Mexican restaurant within a couple of miles, I’m sure that I would find myself going here more often. But when I have the choice between the two, sadly, I have to take the other one.

Got the lunch special Quesadilla with shrimp chicken and beef. It was huge! Also had a taco salad. Very fresh ingredients. There us a salsa bar where you can get a variety of fresh salsas to eat with your chips. Service was very quick and friendly. We will definitely be back here again

Granted, it was 3:30 in the afternoon when I walk to the entrance counter to be seated and served. But after five minutes you wonder where the staff is. A lone server walked by from afar but paid me very little attention. I departed with hopes of a meal dashed as no one seemed concerned or interested in my presence as I hopelessly waited but to no avail. Will think twice upon ever returning.

Had lunch there yesterday Oct 25.The waiter came over and brought us chips and salsa. Took our drink order abd in 5 minutes asked us rudely if we knew what we wanted. Their menu is huge and we’d never get. There before. So he walked away. Other employees were equally rude me when one of my party asked where the bathroom was , the employee just pointed didn’t say a word. Mexican food is my favorite. But when I tasted the chips they tasted like cardboard. The salsa had no flavor. When. Our food came, the tacos were dry. We asked if they didn’t come with some sauce abd were told no. Then they told us that there was a salsa bar. No one mentioned it before we started eating. Needless to say we won’t be back
