Most people won’t care or even know.
They got rid of the brick oven, switched it out with a faster cooking oven that is very common in newer fast pizza restaurants. I won’t be back. I only go to pizza places the the best oven.
This time the pizza was cooked so quickly I questioned the oven and noticed they switched it out. I let the guys know it was a deal breaker for me, and that I would check back with them in 6 months.
When I got home I noticed my extra extra cheese meat lovers had shredded cheese that was still in the form of the shredded and not melted all the way. The crust had some okay spots however was very light mostly.
The guys here are very nice and know pizza. Hopefully they will see right and take pride in getting a real old school brick oven pizza cooker.
They really take pride in their product, they are getting another Non oven for some of the other great food they make which is amazing.
Previous review was 5 stars
Lowered to 3 cause of oven (-1) and undercooked pizza-1
3 stars for the people that listen to an old man and look like they sincerely care about my concerns
I’ll check back in 6 months. I hope they see the way to make the greatest pizza oven back into their fine restaurant
Old review
Small local one shop, nice guys and great pizza in old school brick oven!!
I love the meat lovers with extra extra cheese on top of all the meat lovers!!
The name of this place is “Brooklyn Pizza & Cafe”. Let me just say this. There isn’t much that screams “Brooklyn” or “Cafe” here. As a matter of fact I kinda feel like it’s a “front” for an entirely separate restaurant concept. Which I find kinda funny.
Walking in you’ll see pretty standard decor of a pizzeria In Nashville. Neon signs, plastic fake brick, some pizza paddles on the wall, and a single New York skyline portrait.
Behind the counter you’re met with about 5 dudes all speaking some form of Russian or Uzbekistan. 2 of which was stirring 2 massive cauldrons, and no they’re not brewing potions or making pizza sauce. The cooking up delicious food. Inside the cauldrons was lamb, rice, carrots, chickpeas, and spices. It smelled heavenly so I asked if i could purchase some in addition to my cheese pizza. $13.99 for the lamb and rice. Apparently every Friday they cook this hidden menu item. It’s a MUST TRY!
Let’s get to the pizza. The pizza itself was pretty good. I even drove 10 minutes out of my way just to give you guys a shot. Generous amount of cheese. Definitely good quality. Generous amount of sauce. Definitely taste that it’s made from real tomatoes and not just a paste. The dough was fluffy and had absolutely no cornmeal which is always a good sign. All in all this was damn good pizza. Unfortunately not the best I’ve had but it’s up there with the best. $13.99 for a LG Cheese. Best pizza per price goes to you guys though.
Lastly, some irony. They have the mask mandated notice on the door, but none of the men preparing the food had masks on.

Received 2 pineapple pizza subs.
Called and was told I needed to address this with the Slice app people.
Called Slice, they call the restaurant. Restaurant says I miss understood. This is how they make a ham and cheese sub.
Called the restaurant back. They didn’t help me. The restaurant worker said this is how they make a ham and cheese sub. The other food they sell is terrible. I figured who could screw up a ham and cheese sub? Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you…the only place on planet earth that can screw up a ham and cheese sub. Brooklyn Pizza.
Buyer be ware. This is their ham and cheese sub pictured below.
One more thing. As someone who has been cooking for over 40 years, they freeze their cooked food then reheat. This is not fresh cooked food. The 5 star reviews are fake or they have family or friends to give the good reviews. Brooklyn Pizza And Cafe is a scam.
I received a refund only after contacting the Better Business Bureau. Brooklyn Pizza refused to give me a refund or 2 ham and cheese subs.
PS Max Robert’s is correct. This is the reason I ordered the ham and cheese subs. My calzone looked the same way.
