Awesome food!! one of the best Mexicalis around! Staff were friendly and the building was decorated nicely. Things different compared to other locations: With Chicken Tortilla Soup they had the cheese, tortillas and avocados on the side so you could choose how much you’d like to add, the takeout containers had little holes on the top to vent steam and there was different varieties of salsa. Food was good, as always. Nice place

I used to go to this place all the time when I lived in Holden, but haven’t been in 8 or so years. My son and I just met for lunch there, for old times sake, and it was delicious! From the salsa to the chimichanga, I wouldn’t have changed a thing! I’ll definitely be back next time I’m looking for some Tex-Mex!

Mexicali is a local gem! The staff is so friendly and the food is consistently good. My personal favorite is the Chicken Tortilla Soup. It has the perfect amount of heat and is also flavorful. My other favorites are the enchiladas and the Ranchero Avocado Salad but everything I have tried is good. I really like to go and enjoy the patio or atmosphere inside but they also have takeout and delivery options, AND margaritas to go! You can’t go wrong with Mexicali!

Growing up in Holden, I never knew there were such things as burritos. It’s nice to have a very solid Mexican restaurant here now. Service was a bit slow.

Food was prepared fast, looked clean and well put together. I ordered: appetizer platter, tacos, enchilada and the chicken burrito bowl. The flavor was average but the quantity and quality of the food was surprisingly solid. Pick up was easy with a dedicated shelf located near the host desk no interaction with staff necessary.

This place has very friendly staff, great authentic mexican food, good drinks and the prices are very reasonable. We have made this our weekly number 1 place to dine. Thank you to the staff for having us feel welcome every time we visit. For sure this is a good restaurant to stop by and enjoy great food and drinks.
