Hello,
I am writing to formally express my disappointment with my recent experience at your Savannah location.
I ordered a burger online with the expectation that it would be prepared fresh. Unfortunately, when I received my meal, it was clear that the burger had been pre-cooked well before my order was placed. This was already frustrating, but the situation became much worse when I discovered a piece of hair in my food. I have video evidence of the meal, and the hair is clearly visible.
After realizing I had already eaten part of the burger, I became extremely uncomfortable and felt sick knowing my food was contaminated. This is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about food safety and quality control.
Additionally, the staff member who assisted me displayed a poor attitude and was unprofessional when the issue arose, which only added to the negative experience.
I have been a loyal customer of Wayback Burgers in other locations, particularly in Charleston and South Carolina, where I have always received excellent service and quality food. Sadly, this Savannah location did not meet those same standards.
This experience was extremely disappointing, and I hope management will address these concerns promptly to prevent this from happening to other customers.

Burger was okay but definitely nothing extra. Place was dirty and unkept. Only 2 workers but no sense of urgency getting to customers. Out of carbonation on coke station. Only tea or lemonade. Dirty floor signs. Will not be going back to this location.

This was hands down the best burger I’ve had in a while! The flavor was incredible, perfectly seasoned, juicy, and cooked just right. The toppings were fresh and balanced everything so well. You can tell they really care about quality.

First time at a Wayback Burger and we were very pleasantly surprised with our meals. We were greeted when we walked in and our menu questions were answered. They suggested trying the Wayback sauce on the side since we’ve never had it…it is awesome. The burgers were well prepared and not overcooked. We had the chili cheese fries and they we good as well.
Perfect middle ground between fast food and a quick chain sit down. We will be back.

Trying this for the first time, you want a good delicious burger, this is the place, the food was mouth watering, would recommend anyone to eat here and would definitely eat here again!

It was great!! The place was clean (I work in food service so I always look for that), the service was super nice and accommodating of requests for little changes to my items and patient while I figured out what I wanted, as I’m new to the area. The host came over to make sure everything was going well and to give us our drinks and food himself rather than just have us get up and pick it up. It was great and I’m sad I’m only here to visit because I’d love for this to be somewhere I come again and again.

I ordered a double bacon cheese burger it came with no bacon. I checked our receipt to make sure that is what we paid for, it was so I took the burger up and showed them the burger and the receipt, they acted like I was asking for something for free. The thin small patties were seriously over cooked. My husband ordered the bourbon burger. No bourbon sauce at all and his patties were over cooked as well. $30+ for 2 small burgers.

We ordered through the website for pickup. The ordering experience was quite nice. We are a group of people visiting Savannah and the site made it easy for everyone to add their individual orders to the group, and for us to send payment to our host because we saw our individual bills. Pickup was straightforward. But when we got the food back to our hotel we saw that the details from ordering were lost. Worse, the restaurant had not named the burgers, so we had to open and look at 10 burgers to figure out which burger went to which person, and there were burgers which were incorrect. To fix the incorrect burgers we had to return them to the restaurant and they again did not label the burgers, and one still turned out to be incorrect it was missing an onion ring and bacon. Overall the food was ok, but I would not recommend large orders

Delicious meal…real food. Burgers are outstanding, we ordered the A1 Steakhouse and Bourbon with fries and tots. Topped it off with a Cinnamon Toast Crunch shake.
All great and hands down a very good meal. Not the best hospitality but the food definitely worth it.

Had lunch here and loved it! The fried pickles are some of the best I’ve ever had. My burger was very tasty. They must use some kind of special pepper jack cheese because it was really flavorful and delicious. My husband ordered The Cheesy (it was just meat and cheese) he loved it. We also tried the chicken tenders, they were good but we will probably skip them next time and try some fries or chips instead. Our order was cooked quickly and perfectly. Can’t ask for anything more! Great visit!
