Customer service was not great. No greeting, no courtesy.
The restaurant was clean and organized. I wished they played Chinese music than Jazz.
Traditional Sichuan cuisine has been an awesome addition to the DMV since 2011.
✨️ Pork soup dumplings: A great starter, in my opinion, with classic flavours and just always hits the spot!
✨️Custom mala dry pot: A spicy dry pot we got with noodles, chicken and veggies that is definitely a sharable dish and crowd pleaser.
✨️ Mala bites w/ Mala broth: This was SO good! You can get various skewers and the broth was deliiishhhh. We got beef skewers and quail eggs, which brought the meal together.
Overall, a great place for Sichuan with
hot pot to dry pot and delicious mala bites. There are definitely options for everyone to enjoy and I can see myself coming back here with my mum!

Service was actually decent. The food, not so much. We ordered an scallion pancake, and found a lot of pepper inside (see picture). This was absolutely not authentic. We also ordered steamed beef dumpling but received fried dumpling instead. For the hotpot combo, it was OK with a good balance of seafood, protein, and vegetable. For some reason though we were charged an additional broth $3.95.
From the outside, this place looked very authentic Chinese. Yet there was no one speaking Chinese, from reception to waiter. The menu was English only and it was hard to read through translation. Pictures from previous reviewers showed a much nicer menu and apparently that was no longer the case. It seems the restaurant is under new management. It is a rather exotic than authentic place.
The worst service I’ve ever had.
I came here and ordered chicken and garlic sauce, it’s really not that hard to mess up. It came out and it looked fine. I ordered a coke with lemon, but they.. don’t have any fruits? That’s a first. So I ordered a coke. I was given a room temperature can…. the entire time I ate my poorly prepared food, there was an older employee sitting at the bar and she was staring at me intently for no reason. It made me very uncomfortable. When I returned home, I had the worst stomach pain I’ve ever had, the worst diarrhea I’ve ever had, and the most violent, visceral, soul crushing vomiting I’ve ever experienced…. All because of this run down, careless, poorly ran trap house with a couple of pretty cubes to distract you from how much you’ll be puking. This restaurant is like the horrible ones that end up on those tv shows with Gordon Ramsay, absolute nightmare. Terrible, DO NOT COME HERE!! SEND A HEALTH INSPECTOR!! DIRTY, UNPROFESSIONAL, OVERPRICED, AND SICKENING!!!!!!!!
