Starting off as a grill cook, and working his way up to Sous Chef and Executive Chef, Leo learned all types of cuisine, but his favorite was Italian. He then moved to the front of the house and worked as a General Manager of several different concepts. These steps were part of his dream to eventually open his own restaurant. With Michelle’s help, they opened Leo’s Italian Grill in May, 2019. Serving the Cedar Creek/Bastrop community and those stopping for a meal while traveling through has been a joy. I have passed by this place for 2 years now and have always wanted to try it well today I finally decided to walk in and try it. I am kicking myself for not stopping in sooner. This place did not disappoint. I tried the pepperoni rolls and spaghetti and meatballs. Portions were more than enough and great. I’ll definitely start stopping by more. After being disappointed by the places in town this was a good change up. Budget friendly and kid friendly. They’ve been in the community longer and we should definitely support them.

Leo’s Italian Restaurant was amazing! The food was absolutely delicious and truly authentic. We loved the appetizers and the lasagna was especially incredible. Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor. Already excited to go back and try more dishes soon. Highly recommend if you’re craving real Italian food!

This place is such a hidden gem. It’s unfathomable how it’s doesn’t have more people here. The marinara for bothe meatballs and the chicken parm were fantastic. The brightness it brought to both dishes as well as the amazing texture, and not watery like I’ve seen at othet Italian restaurants. This was legitimately good food. Scratch that, this was outstanding food! You do yourselves a great disservice if you skip over this place.

Fantastic first visit for my wife and I. Staff was friendly and engaging. We had the Prime Rib, pizza and Italian Cream Cake yum! We’re in town for work, but we’ll be back for sure. So refreshing to have meals prepared from family recipes. Neil and Jason were fun to talk with.

Pretty solid food but needs a better beer selection. Fyi…the french dip isnt made with a baguette, but with folded over pizza dough, which is good…just not expected.

Words genuinely fail to capture the sheer perfection of the Pasta Collins. This dish wasn’t just good; it was a masterpiece of robust flavor and impeccable texture. The fragrance alone was a prelude to the feast.

We drove all the way from New Braunfels. I recently visited (3/15/2025) this restaurant featured on Kitchen Nightmares, and it did not disappoint! I ordered the chicken parm, which was fantastic, while my partner enjoyed the chicken Alfredo. Both dishes were delicious, showcasing great food quality. We also tried a few appetizers that were equally tasty. To top off our meal, I had the frozen sangria, which was refreshing, and we finished with the tiramisu—an absolute must-try! Overall, a wonderful dining experience!. Our server and owner provided top notch customer service, and congrats on your beautiful restaurant!
