Great cozy Indian buffet! The food was so fresh and absolutely delicious! My favorite part is the introductory warm naan.

This is a great local Indian/Nepalese restaurant. The menu is varied, prices are reasonable, food is flavorful and service is friendly. In the summer the windows to the street may be open which created a nice atmosphere in the restaurant. They have a bar with cocktails that I haven’t tried and a modest beer selection. They provide papadon with a few sauces complimentary at the beginning of each meal.
Thanks!

masala is my favorite indian restaurant in the area! i’ve been a fan of their chicken tikka masala and delicious doughy naan for years now, but the service i got tonight is what made me decide to finally write a review. i ordered takeout super late this evening using their website, but i realized the naan was missing when it arrived. i called the restaurant in the hopes that maybe it had gotten left in the car and they could call the driver, but it turned out it was never put in the bag. they refunded the naan AND sent the driver back out to me once he’d gotten back to the restaurant (with a complimentary drink too!). mistakes happen and i’d never hold it against them, but they went above and beyond to fix it. i’m now happily enjoying my naan and will be a forever customer!

We had mutton sekuwa, steamed chicken, and chicken biryani. The portion sizes were generous, the service was friendly, and as someone Nepali, I really appreciated the warm and familiar ambiance. The pricing was reasonable, and the table setup along with the background music added to the overall enjoyable atmosphere. After a long time, it felt truly great to dine at a Nepali restaurant. Had a wonderful experience!

Delicious Indian and Nepalese food! First time trying momos and they were so good. The portions are generous and the prices are incredibly reasonable especially for drinks. I recommend the rack of lambs, saffron chicken and mango chicken. The staff is very sweet too. Will definitely be coming back.

We have been eating here for the last 5-6 years. Mostly takeout, and mostly we stick to our regular dishes. They never dissapoint. Sure on weekends, they can get behind on their takeout orders. I think they try to please everyone. However, the food is worth the wait. Eating there, they always have great service, and the lunch buffett is exceptional. My teenagers love it!

Went here to try out certain dishes we haven’t seen on other Indian menus. Both me and my husband really like the taste of the navratan korma. Delicious.

Masala is a lovely place to get Indian and Nepali food. We tried it for the first time tonight and it was also my first time having food from Nepal. I tried the Kwatti which is a bean soup and Moo Moo Cha, vegetable dumplings. I also got my favorite Indian appetizer, Lamb Samosas.
My husband tried the Nepali Thali. He’s had Indian Thali before… a series of little veggie dishes. This one he ordered medium spice and it was a bit too spicy for him. Just note the spice level you request… if you don’t like things too spicy, go mild!
The masala tea was perfect with the spicy food. One of our guests commented the mango lassi was very refreshing.
One more thing I tried for the first time was the papadam. It’s a light crisp flatbread almost like a cracker… made of chickpeas. It was so delicious on it’s own or dipped in the sauces/chutneys… my favorite being the tamarind based one.
I will definitely return to this restaurant when I come to Tufts. Next time I will have their buffet so I can really explore!
