Was referred here by neighbor when I asked her thoughts on food places we would enjoy while visiting an AirBnb in the area for birthday trip. I can say the service and food were worth it, even at a late hour the night before they’d be closed on Thanksgiving when we went. We got Sex on the Beach and Ibiza veggie rolls that were recommended and nice appetizers and drinks as well. Location was quiet and relatively slow at the moment, and food was hot, fresh, and even got pineapple fried rice to take home for Thanksgiving treat. Would highly recommend this location and experience to any sushi fans in the area. Available food and drink options were quite extensive.

I genuinely recommend this sushi place—you won’t regret it! The sushi is incredibly fresh, and the portions are generous enough that you definitely won’t leave hungry. Everything is made with care, and the seafood is top-notch. Yovani, the best sushi chef, he is welcoming, knowledgeable, and always has excellent recommendations. Some must-try dishes include salmon belly sashimi, tuna tartare, Pad Thai, fried rice, and bang bang shrimp. A fantastic spot for sushi lovers!

Was here yesterday celebrating a brother’s birthday. The Sushi was impeccable and very fresh. Really enjoyed the chilled peeled radish. Far better than Sushi bang bang, which was once our go to for fresh Sushi. Will definitely be back.

Absolutely love Sushi Jo! I always choose the sushi bar it’s more intimate, relaxing, and you get to watch the chefs work. I start with the crispy fried gyoza, then the Thai spring rolls simple look, but fresh, spicy, and packed with flavor. And don’t skip the spicy tuna roll super fresh with the perfect kick and rice. Service is spot-on every time. Whether I’m in the area or just need a quick bite, this is my go-to spot. Highly recommend! ♥️

We arrived 15 minutes before closing after working late. Rochelle was so welcoming and told us to take our time ordering. She was very attentive, giving us excellent customer service. The food was delicious, as always! I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. It’s a gem! Rochelle is a true professional!

I love sushi jo. They have the best sushi ever. This location is very neat and ducked off. I come her to dine in and take out. I came here recently with my dog for an early dinner and sat outside. It was very nice and quiet and my server was attentive and fast at getting my food. I love their spicy conch and octopus salad and their spicy tuna hand-roll. So fresh and tasty.

Their new location is very nice. It is very spacious. Plenty of room for seating. Parking can be a little bit tight, but it opens up fast. As always food remains good and fresh. They have more drink options at this location, which is really nice. Staff is still the same, which is awesome because they’re very nice and attentive and have great memory.

Ive been going there as it was in my old neighborhood for 15 years.I was there an opening night and met my wife to be on an excellent group party/date. I have consistently gone there to eat alone at the bar for lunch and dinner for years. Joe is a very cool guy and loves surfing and we used to talk about surfing, music and food. Even though he expanded into Thai Jo at Cityplace and put a restaurant up in Gardens area this is my favorite location; it’s intimate and hip. I heard they recently did an expansion. I guess I’ll have to check it out. Definitely go there.

While searching for sushi near downtown, my fiancé surprised me with this hidden gem of a restaurant.
Hanna, who was exceptionally friendly and kind, greeted us with a wonderful smile and allowed us to choose our preferred seating. The hot Sake was incredibly good!
Our appetizer exceeded our expectations and was delightfully delicious. I couldn’t resist asking about the chef behind it, who turned out to be Julio. I had to personally compliment him on how amazing the pizza was. We had never before experienced such an array of unique flavors in a sushi tortilla.
The fried sushi I ordered was simply fantastic – fresh and full of flavor. My fiancé’s rainbow roll was also incredibly delicious and fresh. The chicken teriyaki and crunchy veggies were cooked to perfection.
Overall, we loved everything about this restaurant and will definitely be returning with our friends and families. I highly recommend visiting and trying out their menu. I guarantee you will love it!
