Reviews
The moment you step inside, the bar and dining space immediately set the tone. The ambiance is modern, chic, and effortlessly upscale. From the sleek décor to the warm lighting, it creates a refined yet inviting atmosphere — perfect for a romantic date night, an intimate business dinner, or a small celebration.
From classic martinis to creative signature drinks, the bar team brings skill and style to every pour. We tried their in-house Cosmopolitan and Old Fashioned, and both were beautifully balanced and crafted with precision — the kind of cocktails you slowly sip and truly enjoy.
Dinner began with their complimentary in-house bread served with olive oil and an olive topping — incredibly fresh and a simple yet elevated start to the meal. For our entrées, we ordered the gnocchi and the smoked chicken, and both dishes were outstanding. The gnocchi was perfectly cooked and rich in flavor, while the smoked chicken was tender, juicy, and packed with depth. Every bite felt thoughtfully prepared and well-seasoned.
Service at The Olivet matches the upscale setting — attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and happy to offer thoughtful recommendations, whether you’re choosing between entrées or selecting the perfect wine pairing.
Dining here wasn’t just convenient because I was staying at the hotel — it felt like a destination in itself, and one I’d absolutely return to.
The staff is amazing. Nadeem, and Bradley, the organization has real gems. Very hard to find good people these days.
The food was pricey, but this is supposed to be high end dining.
Dinner
I got a steak, I asked for it medium and it came out cut and well done. I should have sent it back but I always have fears of tampering. The side dish I am not sure what it was, but it wasn’t something I enjoyed or remembered. The roasted baby squash was more decorative than anything. They required a little work to enjoy. My lady got the snapper, her risotto was amazing actually. I enjoyed her plate more than mine.
Breakfast
My lady for the shrimp and grits. The grits were decent. I got this egg and cheese omelet, it appeared to be prepared like a French style with toast. My gripe was the portion of my omelet, and after I got the bill I was slightly disappointed.
Overall, it’s a great date night place, just remember outdoor seating is somewhat shared with the pool area, so in the mornings, you will hear the children enjoying themselves.
I doubt that I will be back again.
My husband ordered a white wine, which came in the coolest wine glass; I need to find those to purchase. I had the Charlie’s Angel cocktail. It was one of the best cocktails I have ever had.
I wasn’t very hungry so I ordered the Beetroot Burrata Salad and my husband ordered the Rainbow Trout. The presentation for both meals was stunning, and the taste of the food was delicious. For dessert my husband had the apple bread pudding, which was another hit.
The smells coming from the kitchen are what drew us in. The chef definitely knows how to put out a delicious, culinary meal. The food, the service and the ambiance are memorable. We look forward to returning!!
Cocktails were fine, but expensive. $17 – $25 each. In Swiftwater. In May. On a Monday.
The food was very good- fantastic flavors & seasoning, truly delightful. Great portion sizes, tender proteins, lovely presentation, everything fired to the desired temp. Desserts were also tasty, a feat for any restaurant. The bread was excellent, but sparse. When the table ordered more, we were told there was a small fee for additional bread. “No problem,” we said. This is commonplace for fully half of the restaurants I frequent: a $2-$3 charge for more bread. Olivet: $8.00. For five slices of bread. Again: high for the area, the season, the day.
The wine was awful. Awful. White wines served warm. The incorrect red wine served and it was so, SO bad. No one could finish a glass, despite the modest pour. The wine list overall is extremely disappointing.
Service was very strange. We had a friendly server, but she rarely came to our table. We had to beg for water, no coffee or tea offered, and we waited and waited and waited for each course. At a certain point we discussed that all the employees seemed to be doing everything, but no one actually succeeding in doing one thing. There were maybe ten tables total inside and outside. Four bar patrons. This was so, SO strange to have such poor service.
We are grateful for the indulgence of separate checks, alas: they arrived on one tray, stacked up, for us to distribute. Which was confusing considering everyone had a “prix fixe” as their food choice. When we sorted it out, the change and CC slips returned to us also stacked up, for us to sort out. When you’ve added an automatic 20% gratuity to all bills (not just the separate checks, but the singular bar bill from our pre-dinner drinks), patrons shouldn’t work so hard to give you their money. Note: we were only a party of 5. And honestly: our little supper club typically tips 25%- 30% cash, so Olivet screwed their staff with this choice.
We will not return: bad wine, slow service, and the strange ambiance=not for us.
