My wife ordered the 6 once sirloin medium rare with cream corn and squash. She liked it and was very satisfied. I ordered the 10 once ribeye medium rare sweet potato and California vegetable. My ribeye was much thinner and just barely bigger around than my wife’s sirloin, it was also medium well, barely pink. The flavor was ok but definitely not $36 worth. My vegetables were barely warm and very hard. The wine was half price bottle and very good. CK Mondovi.

Restaurant was nice and the ambiance was even better. They had a surprisingly wide selection of wine.
Have to be honest though… I am pretty adept at distinguishing one wine from another and when one is corked. One staffer attempted to deceive me about the wine that I ordered.. Additionally I ordered a ribeye and I got a New York strip. Not really my cut of meat but it was actually pretty decent.
Service was phenomenal but after going there three times; it seems to be relegated to about two staff members. We will definitely go back though.

Went to this place for my daughter’s engagement party. We had people come In from San Antonio, San Angelo and Del Rio to celebrate this special event.
To begin with, and soon as we get seating the waitress already had an attitude problem. When she began to put out plates and silverware, she tossed them to everyone at the table! The whole time, she appeared to be bothered by anything that was asked of her. When serving the food, she also had an issue answer questions about the plates she brought to us. At thus point it turned into an argument. The $40-$45 steak were some of the worst I’ve ever had and the baked potatoes were dry and over cooked!
We were also very disgusted with all the nats flying around our tables and restroom!
To say the least, what was supposed to be a very special night for my family on our daughter’s special was ruined by their staff!
When I asked for manager or owner, apparently, they have no management nor owner on site, to talk to if you have an issue!
First time and last time we ever dine in at this place and I would not at all recommend this “steak house” to anyone.

Got the Burger the leaf of lettuce had dirt on it most kitchens wash the produce, I guess the cook smoking a cigarette near the back door by the kitchen forgot about that, the waiter didn’t take my order back he just brought me another piece of lettuce. Haven’t been back since, the steaks are terrible, which is why now I’ll just pick them up at HEB and make them myself… sorry Jacks do better or hire a actual chef.

The food was okay at best. Server was a bit short but not to the point of rude rather impatience came across. Had the chicken fried steak could immediately tell from the first bite it was fried in old oil and the meat was over cooked. Mom ordered a medium steak and it came out well done. Grandpas fries were undercooked.

Truly one of the worst restaurants we have every been to. The chicken fried steak was completely burnt. The steak was ordered medium and it came out charred and over done. The service was not friendly or nice. Felt like we were more of an inconvenience than anything else. Atmosphere was fine but the food was truly terrible.

Stop by Jacks for lunch the Spaghetti it was fresh and tasty . It doesn’t come with a toasted slice of French bread with garlic with butter but with a small loaf of bread and 2 types of butter. The honey butter is the best. The spaghetti with meat sauce and shredded cheese on top amazing taste and price for only $8.99 . Service was great and very attentive and atmosphere was pleasant. Restaurant is made with logs ,kind of country.
