Very good lunch at Tucan Mexican Restaurant, I haven’t dined here sine the name change. Nine Mile Road is turning into a great place for Hispanic dining and this is no exception. Very traditional Mexican cuisine done well. The salsa was great and has a bit of a bite to it. Most salsa I’ve tried doesn’t. Chips are standard, Corona because I don’t actually like two for one margaritas. I ordered four enchiladas with a side of rice. Wasn’t expecting so much enchiladas, so I ended up taking the rice home and eating it later. Beef, bean, cheese, and chicken were the options. The chicken ended up being pretty meh. Everything else was really good. I’ll come back and try something else, just not the chicken.

What are we going to eat? Convenient parking, pleasant reception. The table and surroundings look new and clean, and then you notice the appropriately dressed waiters. It’s not new, it’s clean and tidy (including the restrooms). Latin music (no narco-corridos). A good menu with affordable prices. Delicious shrimp and steak, good-quality avocado, and perfectly prepared flan. The coffee took a while because it arrived fresh. Mr. Luis, a very good waiter, knows the menu.

Our waitress was super friendly and attentive. The food was good but not anything phenomenal and I was alittle sketched out how quickly it came out after ordering it was only like 5 mins and we were served so cool on quick service but makes me wonder how the food is prepped but overall was decent food and great service.

First time eating here and it was really good! We will definitely make this our new place for Mexican food.

The service was fast and the employees were nice. The only reason im giving 3 stars is because the food was mid. I got a burrito that included steak, chicken, and shrimp in it and none of the meat really had any flavor. However, they were pretty affordable compared to other Mexican restaurants in the area.

Atmosphere was fine but the food … left a lot to be desired. I love Mexican food! Have tried many different Mexican restaurants. I have never been to one and had a chimichanga where the chimichanga shell or tortilla was stale and tasted of oil, except this one. Overall this dish was just not good. Was taken here for my birthday by a friend who loves this place and even she was a little disappointed with this particular visit maybe it was just the day maybe it was just the cook I don’t know. Just sharing my experience.

Queso was spicy unlike most Mexican restaurants. Chips are good, not the best I’ve had but good. I had a steak and a grilled chicken Enchilada and the were very good and very fat and full of meat unlike most places. Rice was good. I have had better, but very good. Had not been here in years because I have come and gone over the years. As Swarzy ounce said… “I be back!”

The food was delicious. Service was outstanding. However the manager (Pepe) looked me right in the face and did not say Hello or greet me nor welcome me to the restaurant. TO ME that’s lack basic restaurant manager training. Please treat ALL customers with respect dignity.

Busy place with not-bad food. I had carne asada; the meat was super soft, but the taste was bland. My husband had Mexican tacos that came with four tacos, so he got two chicken tacos and two meat tacos. I didn’t like the presentation of the tacos. All tacos were wrapped in foil, which was uninviting.
