This place rocks! Very friendly service from everyone. Our server Jovita was amazing and very sweet. We cant eat pork and its hard to get breakfast with out it so we were very happy to find out that they could customize anything pretty much. That also just proves that everything is cooked to order! Will be coming back!

This was our second breakfast spot to try in Lufkin, and overall it was pretty good. The place definitely has an older feel, but it was clean inside. We were able to sit wherever we liked, and our waitress came by within about 30 seconds. She was super sweet, took our drink order right away, and returned promptly to take our meal order. The breakfast rush was still in full swing, but everything seemed to be running smoothly, and there were clearly plenty of regulars.

Our food arrived in about five minutes, which was great. I got the three eggs and bacon with grits and biscuits. The eggs were scrambled just like I asked, the bacon was on the hard side, and the grits were pretty plain–but once I fixed them up, they were fine. The biscuits were delicious. My wife ordered the two eggs and bacon with hash browns and toast. They forgot to add the cheese she requested in her eggs, and her bacon was also pretty hard, but she enjoyed the hash browns and toast since both were cooked well.

All in all, it’s a solid spot for a quick breakfast, and we’ll definitely give them another try–especially since it’s close by and has a warm, inviting feel.

This “family” restaurant, or so it says on the sign, was very unkind to me and my family. The manager told us we needed to quiet our 1 year old toddler when we were the only customers on that side of the whole restaurant. My child was not crying or yelling. He was not throwing a ball in the dining room, as the owner worded it. He got a toy out of the coin machines you provide and was rolling it. The manager who was rude to us was eating at the bar. I would’ve understood if we were disturbing other patrons, however we were not. I’m sorry that children make you so upset. The days of expecting children to sit quietly while being ignored are gone. The days of neglecting and ignoring children are gone. Eventually, this restraunt owned by a hateful man will be gone as well. God willing soon, but I doubt it since you have a loyal local clientele that is all OLDER, 45 and up, for a reason.

The waitresses were very kind however. I think out of sympathy and perhaps worried about a tip after the way we were spoke to. The food was not bad but the experience soured this place for me.

Nice hometown local hangout. Great food! I had a patty melt with onion rings. The onion rings were the bomb patty melt, out of this world! My husband had an all egg white omelette with vegetables, salsa, and breakfast sausage patties absolutely delicious waitress took care of everything. We needed very friendly atmosphere.

Update…went to breakfast. So good. Grits perfect consistency. Biscuits fluffy. Eggs cooks perfectly. Again service good.

Our server Rita was so good. Hubby had blueberry pancakes & they were large & good. I had special of day hamburger steak with mashed potatoes & broccoli rice casserole. Steak was good. Didn’t like broccoli rice at all. Rolls were good. Salad was covered in fake bacon bits and those aren’t good.

The Veggie omelet was perfect. The service was superb. It was assumed to be good because there was no empty table in the restaurant when I arrived. The servers, host, and cooks definitely worked together to turn the tables quickly without affecting the quality of food and customer service. I was in and out with a full stomach after a great breakfast.

Came through Lufkin today traveling through and wanted a really good home cooked breakfast, so my family picked this restaurant. Overall, I will give it a 3/5 stars. The restaurant itself has a very warm homey feel to it. It’s self seating which was great. The food was also great! I truly enjoyed every bite I ate. The only downside to my experience here was that my husband ordered blueberry pancakes and was given regular. When the server brought them to the table I reminded her kindly that they were supposed to be blueberry. She took the pancakes and came back two seconds later with a handful of fresh blueberries put on top of the regular pancakes….. That’s not blueberry pancakes. I also asked for hash browns with cheese and I received just hash browns, no cheese. However, again the food itself tasted great. The server also was really distracted at the beginning of our meal. She was conversing with a regular customer of hers and we were left waiting for awhile so they could arrange a drop off and exchange address at the table next to where we were sat. Other than the lack of service in the beginning and our food customizations not being correct it was 5/5.
