Love this place! I have had to wait for a few minutes as the place was packed at almost 6pm. We were seated pretty quickly though.
Our party of four each ordered a different item from the menu. My pick was their House Burger which had bacon, caramelized onions and jalapeños. Hubby chose the Texas burger which he had tried previously. My stepson selected the Bacon Bacon and his girlfriend ordered the chicken and waffle sandwich. We all shared as 1 lb. side of French fries. Everyone enjoyed the food here. The server does a fantastic job.
Seating is limited (bar style) so it’s not recommended for big groups. Prices are a bit high but you get what you pay for. Butcher Burger does burgers right. We’ll definitely be back.

My husband and I ate here yesterday! We ordered the House Burger and the Butcher Burger and shared a TON of fries (sea salt). We both loved our burgers and always love the fries! The Block Sauce is excellent! I wanted to take a moment to recognize the bartender and server Kaitlyn. She has waited on us before and she is so friendly and personable! We love seeing her working when we come in! She is always super attentive and courteous and keeps an eye on our drinks to make sure we have everything we need promptly. We really enjoy going to Butcher Burger and especially seeing Kaitlyn behind the bar!

Butcher Burger totally hits the spot! That Bacon Bacon Burger? Pure flavor explosion, cooked just right. Fries? Crispy little golden nuggets of heaven. And the house sauce? Secret weapon status—adds that extra kick you didn’t know you needed. Plus, the bartender’s vibe was super chill and friendly. Yeah, it’s a bit on the pricey side, but honestly, it’s worth every penny for a burger experience that’s this good.

Large portion sizes, definitely filling. I loved everything especially the onion rings, the sauce is amazing. We dined al fresco as the restaurant has a tiny space and only bar sitting plus the lighting is too dark for me. But nonetheless, the best burger that I’ve tried in downtown.

Very intimate bar with an especially polite bar tender. The burgers were absolutely amazing (Block burger doesn’t come with sauce, so it was wasn’t as moist as others) and I loved their fries. Would definitely recommend!

This place is very small so seating is limited. Service was excellent. The bacon bacon burger was excellent! The salt & vinegar fries had a good bit of vinegar on them but not quite enough salt. All of the sauces tasted good. I’d definitely come here again if in the area!

Extremely small little spot with burgers that pack a BIG bite. The house burger is a masterpiece of flavor and I’ve always been a sucker for some crispy crinkle cut fries. With limited seating options, I’d advise trying to go at odd hours unless you don’t mind a wait. Bon appétit!

Our second time at Butcher Burger and it didn’t disappoint! Their fries are amazing…I don’t know what they do to them, but they are so crispy and light…eating 1/2 a pound is super easy. The burgers are really great too…the Bacon Bacon is my personal favorite, along with a spicy margarita to wash it down.

My husband and I were away in Portland for a little anniversary getaway. We were craving a burger. Google brought us the Butcher burgers. I am so happy with our choice. Tiny quaint and nice restaurant. We had the most amazing burgers and fries. Fresh, and delicious and by far the best burger I’ve had in a very long time. The sizes were huge fries were crispy. And the drinks were delish. Our waitress Katelynn was a doll. She was friendly and offered lots of ideas for a nice weekend stay here in Portland Maine. Thank you Katelynn.
