We have only ordered delivery. Normally we’d give 5 stars because the thin crust is consistently delicious, but today we ordered deep dish pepperoni… It was not good. The “deep dish” was a mountain of cheese that melted beyond a just slightly undercooked and very thin crust. We had to either remove the thick layer of cheese to get to the pepperoni and crust or consume it and be disgusted by the time we got to other ingredients. This was not deep dish. We would not have expected Kenootz to have something so bad on their menu based on past experiences. We wanted to try something different and it was not a good experience.
On top of that, the only way to be refunded (store policy) is to return the pizza. We drive out from the south side of Chicago for Kenootz and having to drive back was a major inconvenience but we did so because felt it was necessary. We were refunded, but feeling disappointed.

Decided to stop in for a pizza. We dined in. The dining area could use a little sprucing up. The owner came passing through and was extremely friendly, helpful, and generous. The cheesesticks were hot and delicious. The garlic cheese bread was good, but needed a tad bit more of a garlic flavor. We each did a small pizza, and it was bigger than I thought. It was hot and stayed hot. It was good. We did the fountain drinks, and sadly, there were no straws. Other than that, it was a decent place, and we will definitely stop in or take out again.

And you want to support a local business, this is a good option. I had a good sandwich here. A family member enjoys their calzones and pizzas. They are reasonably priced and nearby. Give them a try..

The official pizza of my childhood on Friday or Saturday nights. Always hot, fresh, huge portion. Always look forward to coming back to Chicago to grab 2, one to eat there and 1 to freeze then bring home.

A friend of mine highly recommended Kenootz pizza. I ordered a large cheese pizza for pick up for me and my 89 year old mother. The pizza looked and tasted atrocious. It was burnt to the crisp and tasted like a salt mine. My poor mother took one look and did not even have one slice. She wound up making SOUP FOR HER DINNER! I had only 4 slices then tossed the rest in the garbage. How do you take that pizza out of the oven and have the pride to actually put it in a box to serve to a customer? I recommend the staff there watch the movie “Chef” and see what happens when the Chef’s son tries to serve a burnt sandwich to a customer. Unfortunately we have bad luck because while I was waiting the other pizzas they were putting in the box cartons looked good.

What happened to this place? Use to be really good. Ordered pasta with meatballs. They charge $4 additional FOR TWO SMALL
MEATBALLS. Please see photo below. How do you charge $4 for such a tiny small
Meatball? I could’ve just made meatballs
Myself. This place has lost its way
