We came without booking at New Year’s Eve and although there were lots of reservations and people, he made an effort to welcome us and find a table. The food was amazing, unique taste of common known Italian meals. The portions are relatively small but worth trying it. Idk if it was because of that special night but we had to wait a lot for the food and even for the bill at the end- the service could have been better and more efficient but I think the staff were really trying their best that night. Overall absolutely recommended.

Terra Rossa Italian Restaurant – A Hidden Gem with Great Food

Terra Rossa is truly a hidden-place restaurant, tucked away but well worth the walk. You can easily walk there, and although cars and motorbikes can access the area, the restaurant itself gets quite crowded, especially during peak hours. If you’re visiting with a group, I’d strongly recommend making a reservation in advance. I was lucky to get a walk-in table.

The atmosphere is warm and lively, with beautiful décor and a cozy Italian feel that makes the place inviting for both families and friends.

The food choices are excellent, and instead of spending too much time on the menu, I asked the waiter for recommendations—which turned out to be a great decision. The dishes were well presented and full of flavor. My son really enjoyed the ravioli and his pizza, and the portions were perfect for him. I’m not entirely sure what my dish was called, but it was rich, comforting, and very satisfying.

One small flaw I noticed was that there were some chipped or broken dishes used on the serving table. I’m not sure if this is part of the restaurant’s style, but personally, I prefer clean, intact dishes, especially when dining with a child. For me, it’s mainly about safety and hygiene, and this is something the restaurant could easily improve.

Overall, Terra Rossa offers great food, friendly service, and a lively atmosphere. With a little more attention to tableware details, it would be an even better dining experience. I’d still happily return—and next time, I’ll be sure to book ahead.

Terra Rossa is a cozy and friendly Italian restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. The three of us ordered carpaccio, burrata salad, a Capricciosa pizza, ravioli, and two coffees. Everything arrived quickly, and all the dishes were fresh and genuinely delicious.

We paid £85 in total, which felt like very good value for the quality and portion sizes.

A small detail that actually made us smile – some of the plates had slightly chipped edges. It didn’t bother us at all; if anything, it added a bit of rustic charm and authenticity to the experience.

Definitely a place we would return to.

Terra Rossa in London is a truly stylish Italian restaurant that delivers an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, infused with a delightful Italian aroma that instantly sets the stage for an evening of elegance and comfort. Their authentic pizzas are outstanding—thin, crisp, and topped with creative, flavorful combinations that showcase both tradition and innovation. The salads are equally impressive, bursting with freshness and perfectly balanced flavors that complement the meal beautifully. To end on a high note, the chocolate soufflé is simply unforgettable—light, delicate, and deeply satisfying. Paired with attentive, professional service and an intelligently curated wine selection, Terra Rossa stands out as a secret for anyone seeking a refined yet genuinely Italian culinary experience in London.

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Terra Rossa on 20 November. The seafood risotto was perfection, the focaccia beautifully springy, and the wine excellent. A special thank you to Marco, our waiter, who was professional and full of warmth. Someone in our group who is Italian expressed how good the food was – high praise indeed. As a lover of Italian food, it was among the best I’ve had in London, and even in Italy. The atmosphere was great too: cosy, and alive with the buzz of everyone enjoying themselves, yet never too noisy. Grazie mille – we had a fantastic time!

Came for a work Xmas dinner evening. The place was very busy.

We got to our table, where the was name cards with the food being pre-ordered downstairs.

Sadly there was not enough seats at our table so we shufted along to include our group. Felt a bit squished.

Took a while for drinks to arrive.
Scallops were lovely, and pizza was lovely.

Hard to get attention for additional drinks.

Manger came over to rush us out as there must have been another booking, was not rude but felt like we were unwanted …. I think at Xmas there must be a lot of demand for tables but we would have probably had more drinks after some lovely food.

I’d recommend the food, maybe sit upstairs with more room and not when they have so many customers to make it a better experience.

Came here for dinner on a weeknight. It was quiet when we arrived, but full by the time we left. Service was friendly and attentive. I ate the Pappadelle with Wild Boar in a tomato base sauce. The meat was quite chunky and a bit dry, would have preferred more sauce to go with it. The pasta was a bit stuck together. Taste wise was pretty good. For dessert I had the chocolate souffle with ice cream which was also nice. Overall a pleasant dining experience and would come back if I’m in the area.

I dined at Terra Rossa and came away with mixed but generally decent impressions.

The food was good in terms of quality, but the portions are on the smaller side. On its own, a main didn’t quite feel filling and I’d definitely recommend ordering a starter if you want to leave satisfied, which I didn’t do. Flavour-wise, the dishes leaned a little too salty for my taste, though that’s subjective and others may enjoy it.

The atmosphere was one of the highlights. The restaurant is nicely decorated with a relaxed, pleasant feel that works well for a casual meal or business lunch around Blackfriars/St Paul’s. It’s a comfortable space to sit and spend time in.

Service was fine. Staff were responsive and did their job efficiently, but there wasn’t much warmth or friendliness beyond that. Not rude at all, just fairly neutral and transactional.

£50+ spend for two on lunch I felt was quite high for what it is.

Overall, it’s a solid option if you’re nearby and want a decent Italian meal in a nice setting, but it didn’t quite stand out enough for me to rate it higher. 3.5 stars feels fair.
