That’s a big burg! In all seriousness, I came to eat lunch today at Hearth and ordered the burger meal. The burger was HUGE and the toppings were delicious. The fries and cauliflower were OK. I hardly spent more here than I would have anywhere else on the campus for a full meal. The patty was hot and fresh, just off the griddle. Will come again when I’m very hungry.

Zoca: SO GLAD it’s here and it’s open longer! The pork and black beans are so good! Not a huge fan of the brunch menu, but it’s definitely elevated weekend dining.
Savory Stack: If you know what you like, you can probably get it here. The bacon is a bit too crispy but overall it’s good.
POD: Snacks are good and plenty but overpriced. Quesadillas are usually burnt, but the two employees who figured out how to make it not burnt and deliciously melty need a raise.

This is the only place to eat on the south side of campus that said there are 4 different places to check out in the Blue Connection. There is also a large seating area making it the perfect place to chill out between classes. There is also a fire place for those cold winter days and outside seating for the hot summer afternoons.

I usually love getting things from the pod store, and sometimes I get tea from there. But the other day I went to get some mint tea, and the student working was extremely confused when I asked for it. He stared at me with a confused look on his face so I pointed it out on the menu and told him that all he had to do was heat up the water for the small-sized cup and that I pick the tea bag out because that was what happened just a week before. He then thought I was ordering Chai so I pointed it out on the menu again and said “Sorry we don’t have tea” even though I clearly had the tea bags in the same place as always. I left extremely disappointed and did not want to argue anymore. I am not necessarily mad at the student worker, but more at the lack of training and/or the fact no one was available to ask for help. I can understand if there is a staffing issue, but I honestly think that an employee should not be working by themselves if they can not fulfill a basic customer need.

Best/most varied place to eat on campus that uses meal swipes. Laker bowls are dope. Late night is bad for my health, but good for my soul.
Would maybe get 5 stars (relative to other places on campus) if the steak dinner wasn’t always overcooked.

The Connection has the best subs on campus, and many people really enjoy their salads as well. There are four smaller subset restaurants near the front as well as the Pod grocery store and a Papa John’s pizza. The Connection is a great place to go hang out with friends or study on the second floor. From 10 pm- 12 am they have late night options that usually include wings, sundaes, and other delicious late night snacks. This is by far the place I eat at on campus most frequently.

Definitely better than Kleiner, and about on par with Crave. A little better than Kirkhof’s basement, but that’s subjective. One of the best places for food on campus.
They have a decent selection of foods between Engrained and P.O.D.. The sandwiches and Late Night at Engrained are consistently the best tasting. The (apparently) legendary Laker Bowl was too salty for my tastes, but everything else is pretty good for an on-campus, non-big-chain restaurant. Engrained likes to use barbeque sauce in a lot of their dishes, and it works well.
They have enough seating for everyone, you shouldn’t have an issue in that department. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxing, but also decent for studying.
Be somewhat careful when ordering prepared food from P.O.D. later in the evening, in my experience the availability and quality of the food drops off. Moral of the story, go for Late Night instead of P.O.D. if it’s available.
