Best service you will ever get in Pueblo!
Steak, decent, duck fries, not like I remember them. Thin, not crispy, unfortunately.
Johnny my server, off the charts great server. Every attention to detail.

Went for our anniversary dinner, we made a reservation for outside because we wanted to enjoy the fresh weather. After a while it started pouring rain and our server was amazing and moved us inside. The ambiance inside was phenomenal, low music and low lighting. We ordered a drinks, which were delicious. He ordered the mojito and I ordered the banana daiquiri. Had great taste and just the right amount of alcohol in it. Once our food arrived, we went ahead and took the first bites and were mesmerized by the taste! It was delicious to say the least. Our server was very attentive and kept checking up on us. Our dessert was delicious as well. They added an extra touch in order to help us celebrate our special day. Definitely recommend and will definitely be going back!

First time for dinner here, had breakfast here about two months ago. I ate at the bar and was greeted with super knowledgable bar tenders about the food and drinks. It was not overwelming either, but soft comments with a servants attitude toward the customer. REALLY IMPRESSED. Jacob was my bartender and was awesome, patient with timeframe, advised on my drink and no pressure to buy another one as I was driving. Steak was incredible and so much I took a doggy bad and ate for a late night snack, so good. Only suggestion is a small TV at bar for sports events, but I understand why there isn’t a TV as the bar area is part of the seating area. Highly recommend.

The service was excellent and the cocktails were delicious. However, the food was disappointing. My husband and I decided to split the 42oz Tomahawk and share multiple sides. It took about 40 minutes for our food to arrive. While we waited, we had enough time for 2 rounds of drinks. I tried a house old fashion and a manhattan. My husband tried their cider on draft and shots of his favorite whiskey. We absolutely enjoyed our drinks and the complimentary bread. When our food arrived, the steak was overcooked and unseasoned. It had no flavor. When ordering, the server did warn us about the possibility of the cook not being even due to the steak’s thickness. The center was cooked to our requested temperature which resulted in the remainder of the steak being overcooked and extremely chewy. For sides we ordered the mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts and shallots. The mashed potatoes were the best made dish that we ordered, however it was salty. The shallots were burnt and the brussel sprouts were dry and under-seasoned. After a few bites my husband and I weren’t enjoying the food, so we stopped eating. The server checked back in with us regarding the food and we asked for the check and opted to box the food and take it home. We did mention the shallots being burnt and they removed it from our bill and tossed them. Overall, we enjoyed the atmosphere, the service and the drinks. The food was underwhelming and didn’t taste good. After spending quite a bit of money, we left the restaurant hungry. We were quite disappointed because we’d heard such great things about this place.

Having only heard they have good food, I entered and was seated very quickly by a friendly host. The restaurant is nestled on the Riverwalk right at the bridge on central Main St. The interior is well designed and, with great music, the atmosphere is inviting. I had steak and eggs. I thought afterwards to take photos, but it was so delicious, I couldn’t stop eating long enough. Everything was cooked to order. I did have some of the house steak sauce, just in case, but it was soy sauce based, I believe, and not my favorite. However, the steak was perfectly seasoned and extremely tender, and it didn’t need anything. Lastly, the chili sauce was FIIIIRE! It wasn’t hot, hot just great flavor. If I could, I would give more stars, because 5 doesn’t seem to express my gratitude to Brandon for his service nor the restaurant as a whole. I WILL DEFINITELY EAT HERE AGAIN.

This place is a 10 out of 10!
From the Hostess, to the Bartender (Jacob), and even the Manager (Alec), everyone was polite, professional and knowledgeable! The food was absolutely delicious! Best experience I’ve had in Pueblo by far at any restaurant! Highly Recommended!

Full review:

Starting out with the Hostess: I didn’t catch her name, but I wish I did, she deserves a shout out just as much as Jacob and Alec. Her customer service skills were certainly on par!
My Husband and I came in this evening, mind you it’s Valentine’s Day & We did not have a reservation and just intended to sit at the bar for some drinks. Luck would have it, there were two seats available at the bar that had just opened up.
She didn’t turn us away, she was quick to make sure the area was cleaned and ready to serve, and did it all with a smile.

The bartender: Jacob was simply fantastic! He clearly displayed exceptional knowledge of both menu nuances & and pride in craftsmanship of complex cocktails. His quality shines through for nothing short of a phenomenal experience for patrons lucky enough to enjoy it. We had really planned on just having drinks, but his descriptions & suggestions regarding the menu and preparations, sold us on the full course Valentine’s Day Special.
No regrets! Followed his seasoned advice on both cocktails & dining selections and absolutely grateful for it.

The drinks: Totally delicious, of the seasonal menu was very impressed with quality and subtle elements that made the Winter Sour, delectable. We also decided to take a chance & went with bartenders choice, and we were not disappointed! The Banana Daiquiri was top notch 10/10, tasted just like a banana cream pie!

The food: Expertly crafted, well presented, and absolutely top notch quality! There was not a single element I could point to that was anything short of excellent. Steak was cooked to perfection, and sides were fantastic. Highly recommend the Wild Mushroom Risotto. The drinks complemented the quality and complexity of dishes extremely well!

The management: When we arrived, noted the managers card and grabbed one. The intention was to thank him regarding the hostess and the accommodation. After the exceptional experience, was surprised to find him at the host station and realized had seen him hustling around all night supporting the wait and host staff. Good leaders lead from the front & Alec appears to be just that! He was gracious for the feedback and complementary to the staff members.

In conclusion:
Will absolutely return & while 21 steak may err on the slightly more expensive side, for exceptional experience would absolutely trust the quality of the food & excellent customer service displayed by every team member we interacted with!

Thank you 21 steak & Team for the best meal we have enjoyed in our time in Pueblo! Definitely made this Valentines Day extra special for my husband and I!

It’s a rarity that I give a poor review, I get that restaurants have bad days, but aside from being a really attractive location and interior, and the bartender was nice enough, I don’t have any positives.

I had the special which may be the issue. It took more time to come out than I expected. It was a sirloin (not the best cut) over mashed potatoes, some carrots and Brussel sprouts. The entire dish didn’t have anything that I would say was “good.” I ate all the carrots and mashed potatoes. Even the potatoes tasted completely different in spots like the spices weren’t mixed. The brussel sprouts were bad. Not overcooked, but had a bad taste. The real disappointment was the steak which was why I came. That’s the reason I came in. It was cooked medium but tasted like peppered beef jerky. Very tough to cut. No flavor on the inside and the outside tasted solely like pepper corn. It was topped with a butter that I dipped the steak in. Zero taste. I ate 3 bites and asked for my check. They didn’t question why I chose not to eat. All this for $30.

Like I said, this could be a bad day, new chef, poorly constructed special, but they missed the mark on this one. I did see other reviews that suggest similar issues within the last month. Long cook times, poorly cooked steak and eggs, bad tasting sides.

This place impressed the heck out of me in literally every way! Gorgeous view of the river while we enjoyed delicious food and exceptional service!! I can not wait to go back!

We did not try any drinks but the menu seemed to have a great selection of whiskey and bourbon based cocktails.

Literally never ran low on water or wanted for anything – every course was impressively thought out and prepared -staff were all friendly and thoughtful – just overall a great meal in a gorgeous location.

We went yesterday around 8 pm – I did not catch the hostess’ name but she was a delight and made my wife and I both crack more than one smile.

Thanks for a great meal- hope this helps anyone looking for a solid dining experience in Pueblo
