We went for the Lit Up Christmas Pop Up here at Soundwell Studio and absolutely loved the atmosphere! The food and drinks were great (quite pricey tho), but the Christmas decor was really what did it for me! They do play music quite loud so it’s not the easiest to talk, but wasn’t problematic for us either. The pizzas are a decent size- a little larger than a personal pizza- and tasted delicious. We did have to make a reservation to eat there- just an fyi!

My friends and I recently had dinner at Studio at Soundwell while visiting Salt Lake City. The drinks, salad and pizza was delicious and the atmosphere was wonderful! Jo, our waitress was sweet and looked after our every need. I just loved that the pizza I ordered was called, The Kevin McAllister!

This place is so good that I’m half way through my meal and I literally NEED to leave a review right now. For starters, our server Bailey was soooo nice she was so accommodating of my food restrictions. Second, this is genuinely the best pizza I’ve ever had and I’m not even kidding. I also had two cocktails and both were delicious and came in cute cups. Their gingerbread espresso martini really stood out.

Their live DJ really knew what he was doing as well. I had a fantastic time and wish I lived in state to come back.

Thank you so much for the wonderful night <3

You have awesome bartenders, decor concept, drinks and food here! However, our experience with hostesses was quite something. Two of us came in on a Wednesday night with no reservations. We were initially told reservations applied to both tables and bar seating, then told we can sit at the bar with no time limit mentioned . That changed again later, which set the tone for a very inconsistent experience.
After we sat at the bar, a third friend joined us. When he asked the host about an open seat next to us, a hostess quickly came over, removed the chair, and put it in the back so he couldn’t sit there despite other empty seats at the bar. This must be the pettiest this I’ve ever witnessed. 🙂
We stayed for over an hour ordering continuously, cocktails, shots, and food, so that’s three people ordering every 20 minutes or less. We were not loud, intoxicated, or disruptive in any way.
Then we were told we had five minutes to leave because of a supposed one-hour bar reservation limit, even though this had never been mentioned before. We had just ordered another round and were not even allowed to finish our drinks. The bartender, who was excellent, was visibly embarrassed by the situation and handled it far more professionally than the hosts.
As we were leaving, the host suddenly said we could stay another 15 minutes to finish our drinks, but by then the experience had already been soured.
My honest advice to whomever is having personal financial interest in this business, I understand the front door staff is young and inexperienced in hospitality, but additional training might be needed. No smart business tries so hard to kick out well paying customers willing to drop a few hundred bucks at their place.

They’re a bar first and snacks second. The pizza was delicious like others have reported. In our instance it was definitely good that we did not arrive hungry because anything besides alcohol took a long time to get. Overall I enjoyed the place and I will definitely adjust my expectation next time.

Feedback for your website, please advertise that reservations are strictly required for your Christmas pop up. I had no idea based off your website as it wasn’t obvious.

Your host was sweet about it and let us come in for standing only. A couple got up and left from the bar, my partner grabbed their seats and I joked we’d get kicked out. We were then told by the host “ We will allow you to sit here until our next reservation comes and then you’ll have to get up and move for them”. I about died. It’s a bar, my goodness.

It put me off from your whole place and killed my excitement. The two cocktails we had were great, but we’re not worth the $50 spent. No Name has a way better Christmas vibe and much better liquor overall.

Again, please just make it obvious that you basically are not allowed in unless you have a reservation.
