Their live DJ really knew what he was doing as well. I had a fantastic time and wish I lived in state to come back.
Thank you so much for the wonderful night <3
After we sat at the bar, a third friend joined us. When he asked the host about an open seat next to us, a hostess quickly came over, removed the chair, and put it in the back so he couldn’t sit there despite other empty seats at the bar. This must be the pettiest this I’ve ever witnessed. 🙂
We stayed for over an hour ordering continuously, cocktails, shots, and food, so that’s three people ordering every 20 minutes or less. We were not loud, intoxicated, or disruptive in any way.
Then we were told we had five minutes to leave because of a supposed one-hour bar reservation limit, even though this had never been mentioned before. We had just ordered another round and were not even allowed to finish our drinks. The bartender, who was excellent, was visibly embarrassed by the situation and handled it far more professionally than the hosts.
As we were leaving, the host suddenly said we could stay another 15 minutes to finish our drinks, but by then the experience had already been soured.
My honest advice to whomever is having personal financial interest in this business, I understand the front door staff is young and inexperienced in hospitality, but additional training might be needed. No smart business tries so hard to kick out well paying customers willing to drop a few hundred bucks at their place.
Your host was sweet about it and let us come in for standing only. A couple got up and left from the bar, my partner grabbed their seats and I joked we’d get kicked out. We were then told by the host “ We will allow you to sit here until our next reservation comes and then you’ll have to get up and move for them”. I about died. It’s a bar, my goodness.
It put me off from your whole place and killed my excitement. The two cocktails we had were great, but we’re not worth the $50 spent. No Name has a way better Christmas vibe and much better liquor overall.
Again, please just make it obvious that you basically are not allowed in unless you have a reservation.
