this place used to be a staple of mine, i have racked up rewards points and it was one of the only things i wanted SO badly after having my daughter. to say the quality and service has gone down would be an understatement. i’m leaving this review after spending over 30 minutes trying to call the store about my delivery order that was not only incorrect but was missing more than half of the items. the mailbox is full, it just rings and rings. i understand mistakes but no drinks or chips and my sandwich is completely wrong? very sad to see you go this way and all around disappointed.

I’ve seen the advertisements, so I had to try the French dip, when I opened the bag at home, I was so disappointed, just so disappointed. Couldn’t find the cheese or onion, and there was no au jus. I had never been there before and not likely to go again. Meat had a good flavor. Could I get au jus delivered, I cannot get back out to the place.

Usually service is good here. We did a online order at 8:25pm on 1/9/26 and picked it up at 9:25 pm got home and found the whole order(5 subs) totally wrong nothing was right. Called to get order fixed but the kids that were working that night kept picking up the phone won’t say anything and then hang up . I called 10 times each time they picked up say nothing . I had to talk fast to get out why I was calling before they would hang up. Few times they let me say everything then when I asked if I can come up to get my order fixed they hang up.
Was so unprofessional and rude and waste of money the subs were terrible.

I have been to this location twice now And they have not made sandwiches to my liking on either occasion. The first time I asked for no cheese but I got cheese anyway. The second time I ordered an Italian sub which is amazing.If you get in orange city , but not so much here.

Two times I came there to pickup a delivery. Both times the staff was super unfriendly. Second time in particular. The young blonde gentleman with glasses behind the counter was very rude. Came in and he asked me for a name which I gave him. He informed there was a few orders ahead of it and I said no problem sat and waited. After about 20 mk it’s or so I happen to getup and look at the orders counter to see the order just sitting there. No order ready confirmation and no notification from the staff. Also had to ask them to give me the drink order that they never prepared. Of course they had to have an attitude when I asked for it. Smh

The short lady with the red shirt was super rude when taking our order. I asked for the bread on the side as I was traveling and didn’t want it to get soggy, she proceeds to look me and with an attitude say, “that’s a weird request but ok”. It’s not weird that I don’t want my bread soggy and it’s rude to talk to a customer that way. Keep that to yourself and don’t be rude, especially since we were patient and kind with the fact they were working on a few orders.

Amazing food and staff. I would recommend if you are getting take out that you call it In they are not the fastest but quality is worth waiting for in my opinion.
I do not like that they do not expect cash over 20 dollar bills. Especially when I had an order of 46 dollars and somthing cents and they couldn’t except my 50 dollar bill.
I get they can’t keep a lot of cash In drawer but drop it In a safe or something.
that is there biggest down fall.
I myself do not eat there very often at all now specially because of that.

Great establishment to eat at and they give back to our hometown heroes! The facility in DeLand was very clean and well maintained. During my visit it was very busy and crowded, but the staff did an excellent job at keeping the line moving. I was very impressed at how well the staff behind the counter worked together and communicated to keep everything flowing at a steady pace. With how busy it was not only did I get my lunch fast but it was well made! I had an Italian sub and my husband enjoyed a Firehouse “Hero”! Thank you for a clean, fast, efficient,and delicious meal!

It was the first time visiting Firehouse Subs. I was overall impressed with the interior decor. I bought the medium meatball Parm sub and the cheese steak sub. The food was absolutely delicious. One of the best subs in the entire state of Florida. The only downside, the staff. They could have been a lot more upbeat and cordial. Very unprofessional. Not excited about their job, no warm greeting, no smile, no thank you, come again! It doesn’t warrant taking off a star but as a nurse and professional, they need to be taught proper etiquette and manners. This keeps customers coming back.
