The year-to-year consistency from the kids running this place is excellent. I don’t know how they do it, but it’s often run by high school students, and I’m telling you, these young adults always deliver delicious treats in a great atmosphere. This is how to run a fast food place! This is how you do it!!!

Update 21May24 – I have been coming to this Dairy Queen for almost 3 years, and it has been declining. It seems like now, no matter what you order you have to pull around and wait. Today my order was one chili dog with mustard. It took 10 minutes and was a mess. It seems like there is no pride or attention to detail.
Sadly, Dairy Queen is a childhood through adult joy, and this one is breaking me.
I have loved Dairy Queen my whole life. I try to give things a chance, but if your get anything but the hotdogs here you are fine. But the hotdogs are made in such a messy manner they are near inedible. No care is taken whatsoever. I have bought my last hotdog here. Which is a real shame, because DQ hot dogs have been my favorite as long as I can recall.
Edit: I gave it another chance and it was the same.
While in Portland I stopped by a Dairy Queen and they made my hot dog perfectly. See 3rd photo.

They make their food very consistently here.
The ice cream is delicious as well.
The staff has always been pleasant, you can tell there is regimented training. I’ve never had any issues coming here since they opened decades ago.
The hot food is good also, especially the fries. It’s not the best hamburger you’ve had but it tastes good for what you get!

I bought their icecream cake that had vanilla and chocolate icecream with fudge and chocolage chruchies in the middle. It was delicious!! They even offered to write on the cake. Iit was a little pricey but well worth it. Great customer service. Definately recommend.

How dare you put just 5 tiny little pieces of cheesecake in the NY cheesecake blizzard after we pay 79 cents extra for extra cheesecake in a medium cup? Is this a joke? Please pay attention to your orders and make sure the customer gets what they pay for. I’ve ordered without extra cheesecake and gotten more pieces of cheesecake bites. You even wrote it on the cup! If you don’t want your customers feeling robbed please fix this issue.

I am writing to report an issue I experienced at your drive-thru on the evening of September 18th. I arrived at 9:47 PM and attempted to place an order at the speaker but received no response. I then drove to the service window and was informed by the employees that the store was already closed, despite the posted closing time being 10:00 PM.
I confirmed the time on my phone, noting that it was only 9:49 PM. The staff reiterated that they were closed and refused my request for two vanilla cones.
Closing well before the official time is a significant inconvenience for customers. This early closure has negatively impacted my perception of your service, and I am now hesitant to return.

Ordered a choco brownie extreme blizzard add PB sauce and Reese cups. Literally got an Oreo blizzard I can’t even taste anything besides vanilla ice cream. No effort.

What kind of an ice cream place doesn’t have chocolate ice cream? Every time I come here, they’re always out of chocolate ice cream. Either “they’re out of it” or “the machine is broken”, as they usually tell me. They don’t offer any substitutes or discounts for the inconvenience. When they do have it, I notice their servings are smaller than at other Dairy Queen locations.
The employees also seem unpleasant, and it comes across as if they don’t want to be there unlike other Dairy Queen locations. I don’t know if they’re overworked at this particular location, but as the customer, the last thing I need is to feel like a burden simply because someone has to do their job. It’s a shame since this is the closest location to me. I may have to get my fix at Dairy Belle, as it’s cheaper, friendlier staff, and has a larger selection.
