This idea is good but to be honest as a foodie. The idea was better the the reality. The food was ok. Service was friendly but slow considering we were the only customer and it took about 15 min to get 3 sushi rolls 1 deep fried 2 not.
The area was off florin near old florin. A bit dingy and in need of repair was set up in parking lot the plave you stand to order was also one of the driving space for parking. I felt uncomfortable standing in the driving lane. And it felt ackward to stand around waotong fornpur order so we sat in our car in the parking lot. Id suggest a picnic table and for them to move tje truvk to the bavk corner next to the store to make the experience much better
I was glad there was sushi in the area as I didnt have time to go to my normal sushi restaurants. But I was craving sushi.

Coworkers and i decided to try something other than our normal sushi spot. Took a chance on Sushi Hugo and everyone loved it here! Ordered no mames rolls and sorpresa rolls. Owner was very professional, and quick! 4 rolls in a little less than 15 min. Thank you so much!! We will be back.

When my wife and I found this place and decided to give it a try over our normal spots, we weren’t expecting it to have some of the best sushi in Sacramento!
This is a food truck, but man, they have flavor and soul way beyond some of the biggest sushi spots I’ve been to. We got the Sourpresa and No Mames rolls as well as the Sexy Jalapeño appetizer.
The No Mames was excellent, but the Sourpresa and the Sexy Jalapeño were both PHENOMENAL. The Sourpresa came with big chunks of fish on top and just jam packed with crab, and the Sexy Jalapeño – a deep fried jalapeno bed with a heap of crab meat, covered in a blend of sauces – has seriously made me reconsider ordering appetizers as the main course.
Normally, I might say give them a try if you’re nearby, but you should go out of your way to stop and try some of the great sushi here. When a chef is serious and passionate about their food, it’s a true pleasure.

Ngl I was a little nervous getting sushi from a truck haha but it was the best experience! Best customer service! Food was incredible and super filling. We got sushi burritos and they were ginormous and came with lots of sauces. 20/10 I will definitely make this a regular spot

Stopped by here on a recent trip. DELICIOUS!! Everything tasted amazing. Flavorful, saucy. Definitely a must try and a must stop when you’re in the area. I already have plans to come back the next time I’m in town. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Me and my daughter have been craving sushi that we get when we’re in Sinaloa. I spotted this place in the parking lot of Del Valle supermarket. I finally decided to check out the menu and order. I have one regret and it’s not stopping at the food truck sooner!!!! I bought the Hugo Roll and the Sacramento roll and both exceeded my expectations. This is hands down the best Mexican Sushi I have ever had in Sacramento. Don’t let the food truck fool, this food was fresh and made to perfection! Hugo was super friendly and patient and I will definitely be going back. He gave me a card with their contact info for me to call my order in for future purchase. I ordered on the spot and the wait was about 5-10 minutes.
Please note that it is CASH ONLY but it is worth every dollar! Try it, you will not be disappointed.
