Amazing food and courteous staff. This is my 2nd time going to this restaurant. And food is delicious as expected, I was in Burlington, I believe in 2021 and met the owner Umar, such a gem of a gentleman. I found out on this trip that he passed away. Beautiful soul and great chef.
I had samosa and Philly cheese steak sandwich. Wife had coconut chicken stew with rice, all items are just spot on and delicious. Make sure to try their tea as well. Staff is very helpful in explaining dishes and go out of their way to make you comfortable.

Don’t judge this restaurant by its looks, food is very good. The vegetable Samosas were excellent, worth trying as a starter. We had the chicken coconut stew, chicken with rice and chicken gyro. Everything tasted good, first time having Somali food and will be back again! Flavorful but not overly spicy.

I’ve never eaten here, but if you like Indian cuisine it seems like the place to go. It is run by a very friendly group of Muslims ready to greet you and take your order…. Love the warm and friendly demeanor of the employees that work there. I’m a food delivery driver. I pick up there from time to time.

The chicken looks deceiving as you think it will be super spicy due to the reddish color, but it is not. It’s very flavorful. I can’t give it a full review since by the time I got home it was not war anymore but still super good. The basmati rice it comes with is very good too. I would definitely come here and try another dish and maybe have a samosa or two! Great customer service!

Food was really good here. I had the chicken and rice. It was very tasty and did not leave me feeling heavy. I appreciated the kind service as they made me feel very welcomed. I definitely recommend coming here again! My friend who is also a vegetarian enjoyed his coconut stew and rice. This place deserves all the praise!

Kismayo kitchen is a modern Somali street food style joint. This is by far my favorite place to grab a quick bite in Burlington. Location-wise it is a bit on the outskirts of downtown but it is certainly worth the trip or delivery. Their Philly cheese steak is one of my go-tos on the menu. A nice sub roll stuffed to the brim with beef, some hints of tomato, and a balanced amount of cheese, I’d call it one of their signature dishes. If the samosas haven’t sold out when you’re there, then ordering a couple of those is a must. And if you’re looking for the most authentic Somali experience try one of the rice dishes, which comes with choice of a chicken or vegan stew. And, if you get the chance to interact with the employees, you’ll realize that they are the friendliest kind of people making every meal here feel personalized.

The menu is limited, but the food tastes so good!! I had chicken & rice, which is amazing. They cooked the rice just perfectly. I had beef samosa, which is also delectable. The guy who served me food gave me tea for free. Thank you. The tea tastes like sweetened chai. The place looks humble, but the service is really good.
