Stopped in just on a whim because the smell of the smoker out front drew me in. Had the beachcomber and even when the burger was overcooked, it tasted good. The Mac n Cheese had good flavor but the noodles were very over cooked. Great crispy fries.
The smoked turkey was very good and had the perfect amount of smoke. Small little place, but seems to have a good small town following.

Menu is a little unclear. I ordered a platter and was charged $2 extra for a side (Brunswick stew) and it was not communicated until I got the receipt.

Awesome place. Small, hole in wall gem. Love this place. We come here every year for lunch when we are in town. Walk up to the window, place your order, and they will let you know when it’s done. Burgers and sandwiches are a must here. Quality ingredients, cooked and prepared freshly. Friendly staff and service. I had the Beast Comber, which was a bacon cheeseburger with pulled pork, smothered in BBQ sauce, and topped with fried onion rings. If you want a good lunch, or a coll off the beaten path hangout in the evening, this might be your place. Mostly outdoor seating, with limited space inside.

Don’t let the looks of this place fool you! Such a cool vibe and delicious food, served hot! We came for a late lunch so it was pretty quiet. The staff was super friendly and helpful. If there’s one thing I really appreciate, it’s my food being served hot. We both got the 2 meat plate and you get 2 sides. My husband got brisket and ribs with Mac and cheese, and sweet potato tots. I got ribs and pulled pork with delicious, flavorful, and meaty baked beans, and Brunswick stew. The stew was wonderful and so hot I almost burned my mouth on the first bite. We both enjoy bbq and this food is up there with the best. Bravo!

So we are leaving, because they ran out of ground beef for burgers. The owner hears us, and convinced us to stay for the rest of the menu. And then he asked permission to hug my wife. The AUDACITY!!!! He needs no permission! So to Helene, the author of a 1 star review, “Lighten Up Frances!” Seriously, we are absolutely not disappointed, even though it’s like Hooters running out of Wings! Live music, great people, it is the exact atmosphere we were seeking. Wife craved a burger, but that’s ok, there will be burgers here tomorrow.

We always visit Beachcomber at least once during our stay at the King and Prince. You smell the bbq basically all day, so it’s hard to miss! It’s a great beach bbq restaurant, very convenient with fast service. We end up getting something different every time but it’s always great. We normally walk here but parking will be a challenge if you plan to drive.

Ribs were really tender & meaty. The rub was very good. Maybe slightly too salty but I like salt anyway. Baked beans were delicious!! They had little crunchy bits of green pepper in them along with a little pulled pork. I surprisingly really liked the crunchy pepper in it. The Pulled pork was super tender and not fatty at all! The Cole slaw was also a win!! Definitely the way we like our slaw! Fresh, creamy and simple. The Brunswick stew was very yummy too. It was my first time having it, so I don’t have any other to compare it to, yet….
The young man that took our order was patient and helpful in deciding what to order. I really appreciate that, as I like most food and want to try what they make really well our different.

I’d give this tasty pulled pork sandwich a 4.8, served with chips and a couple of pickles on a grilled bun, but you can order different sides if you’re hungry. Two flavorful sauces to choose from, obviously one having a lot more heat than the other. Casual order-at-the-counter place with indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a fenced in patio. Very close to the beach for midday run.

I’d highly recommend the brisket, which was super tender. The burger was FABULOUS and the sweet potato puffs were so good. We’ll definitely return for more. Yum!

Great chilli cheese dogs me and my wife really enjoyed them and we definitely will be returning only issue we had is the google menu says 4 dollars for chilli cheese dog and we paid 9 im not sure you all are even aware of the situation or not but other than that was really great food guy at the counter was super friendly and was singing and dancing around like he really enjoyed his job and it made us feel more welcomed idk the guys name but thank you for that we was having a stressful day and he brightened it up and turned our moods around.We will be returning on our next trip
