This review is through the lens of this being Americanized Chinese as it is definitely not authentic Chinese.
The wontons in spicy sauce were surprisingly small (see the bowl aside the phone for scale). The wrap and filling were tasty though the spicy sauce is not like any spicy sauce didn’t meet expectations.
The lunch box special had solid portion sizes and overall was good value.
The hot and sour soup was delicious and loaded with yummy mushrooms.

I’m incredibly picky and my partner is moreso a critical person when it comes to food. Food is a big deal to us! When I tell you this is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever ate at in all my years, I don’t say it lightly. I took a few pictures but we had multiple dishes to sample what was available, and each dish continued to impress us. Service was fast even in rush hour, food always hot with profound flavors and ingredient pairings that walked the line of interesting and delicious. Since our initial visit, this place has become our go-to date spot and we have recommended it to many of our friends! The dinner platters come with large portions and we have eaten several plates off the lunch menu and still felt light yet satisfied. The quality is disproportionate to the price in my opinion. Very much so affordable for amazing plating. The servers are pleasant, having walked us through the menu at first, and I’ve never had any issues with cleanliness here. Solid five stars across the board!

Fellow visitor from NY here. Was recommended to try this dumpling spot and boy was it worth it! Great prices to amazing food! The soup dumplings were too good! Even the pork ones! The authentic taste with a menu full of variety. This spot crushes it. Also tried a bento box. Highly recommend. Our waitress Raven was excellent. She did a wonderful job and our group had a great experience all around. Give this place a try you won’t regret it

Been coming here for a few years. It’s one of my comfort places and has really good soup dumplings. They’re perfect. I tend to come here to dinner with my friends and it’s also a restaurant I recommend a lot of people who aren’t from the area. You won’t be disappointed.

Absolutely delicious food. The soup dumplings are amazing, and the shumai appetizer was so tasty. Staff were friendly and service was quick. I sat at the bar, but there is a good amount of seating indoors. There is limited street parking so I would recommend parking in a nearby deck and walking over.

This is a small tucked away place almost right in downtown. The atmosphere is always inviting and upbeat. You can sit at a table or they do have a bar. From the noodles, spring rolls or the dumplings to drinks this place never disappoints

We started with aping roles and fried chicken dumplings, moving to soup dumplings, and add an extra order of fried shrimp dumplings to finish the meal. All of us enjoyed the authenticity of the meal and portions. I highly recommend a visit to enjoy excellent cuisine.

The food was delicious! The homemade soup dumplings were flavorful and a great texture, they were exactly what I was craving. The dipping sauce served with the soup dumplings was tangy and delicious with fresh ginger in it. I liked the spring rolls but I didn’t love the dipping sauce they were served with. However, I ordered both chicken and shrimp fried dumplings, they were wonderful! I came on a Sunday evening and my party was seated almost immediately. The staff are friendly and provide efficient service. I highly recommend the Shanghai Dumpling House!
