***10/10/25 update: I’ve visited this place in the past and didn’t always have the best experience. However, as a pho lover and with limited options in the area, I’ve occasionally returned. On this visit, I noticed new staff running the restaurant. They mentioned they were only there temporarily, but I want to highlight the significant positive changes I experienced this time around.
The customer service was excellent—better than it’s ever been. The team was very attentive and checked in frequently to ensure everything was to my liking. I really appreciated that. As for the food, the pho was delicious! The broth was much more flavorful than I remember from past visits, and I genuinely enjoyed every bite. I always order the shrimp pho, and while I’d love to see a few more shrimp in the bowl, the ones included were large and satisfying.
I also tried the chicken bánh mì, which was tasty, but the bread-to-meat ratio could use a bit of adjustment—there was just a little too much bread for the amount of filling. One small suggestion would be to expand the tea and boba options. I’d personally love to see more fruit teas with popping boba on the menu.
Overall, I was very happy and satisfied with my visit. Whatever changes they’ve made recently are definitely moving the business in the right direction, and I’m really glad I stopped by during this time. I’ll definitely be back!***

I visited this establishment recently with one other person. I ordered the shrimp pho, spring rolls and egg rolls. Although the servings sizes were great, I was underwhelmed with the food. The shrimp in my pho was somewhat overcooked and the egg rolls were very very greasy. There appeared to be miscommunication when I inquired about popping boba for their teas. I received regular boba and requested to return the product as it was not what I was hoping for. The server appeared upset but took the drink and I was not charged for it. Overall, I will continue looking for pho options in the Tyler area.

We used to live in WA. and ended up falling in love with PHO. We’ve moved all over with my husband job and haven’t found GOOD, REAL PHO since WA. A place in Waco came close. Anyways. We’d looked up places and Google told us about “PHO HOT” firstly when you walk in, your greeted from everyone there. We were ASKED were we’d like to sit. They had Christmas music playing and I am little Christmas in person lol. I am also Au-DHD so I was dancing in my seat and singing (quietly) along and smiling.

The best part was, when we opened the menu. We had no CLUE there were so many options for PHO. we only had beef, chicken, maybe pork, or no meat. PHO HOT must have had 20 varieties.

We also ordered shrimp, shredded lettuce, and rice noodles, wrapped in rice paper with peanut sauce.

YUUUUUUM!!!!! I DON’T know if that’s on the menu, my husband just asked for them to be made, and they said yes.

I’ve had good food there but today it was awful. The shrimp fried rice was over microwaved, tough, and had absolutely zero taste. The shrimp was so tough I couldn’t cut them with the side of my fork. I tried to send it back and they argued with me and asked me to pay for the food even though I had only taken two bites. I left them enough cash to cover it and left but for that, I will not go back.

We absolutely love eating at this restaurant! Pho hot is my all-time favorite Asian food! Whenever I go to this place, I always order the beef and round steak noodles partnered with summer spring rolls and green matcha tea ! They have always been my comfort food. Nothing beats this warm hearty meal especially during cold season! The staff are very nice and friendly and their location has a great atmosphere!

Food was great. Not amazing, but definitely worth it for the price. I had the pho with several meats in it. Broth was great, but some of the meat was real stringy and impossible to chew. Service was okay when it was available. But they were almost never there or incredibly hard to get a hold of. We’re coming back, but we’ll be taking it to go.

I am in town for work and wanted some spring rolls. There aren’t many options for that in Tyler, but I gave this place a shot. I was seated promptly by a female employee. She had her phone wedged under her bra strap and was talking to someone. We walked to through the restaurant and around to the other side to a table right next to where she was cleaning utensils. So while I was looking at the menu, I could hear her whole conversation with whoever she was talking to on the phone, still under her bra strap. I ordered egg rolls, spring rolls and special pho. The pho came out first which was odd to me since the rolls I ordered are appetizers and had not come out yet. Shortly after, the spring rolls came and then the egg rolls. I ate those first. The spring rolls came wrapped in saran wrap. The rice paper fell apart somewhat. I guess they are pre-made. The dipping sauce was runny to me, I prefer mine to be a little thicker. The egg rolls were good. They were nice and crispy but only came with a little bit of lettuce. By the time I got to eating my pho, the noodles were already getting mushy. The broth was bland to me as well. The plate of bean sprouts was not inviting either. I couldn’t finish the pho so I went up to the counter and asked for togo containers. The employee pointed to the stack of Styrofoam by my table and told me to go over there and service myself basically. I am really surprised people like going here and that they have 4 stars. Not once did anyone come by to ask me how my food was or if I needed anything else. The customer service was very lacking to me. I saw a gentleman go up to pay and he waved his ticket and money at the employee excitedly saying I have something for you, and she ignored him like she couldn’t be bothered. When I paid she said thank you and other employees said thank you as I was leaving. Their menu is extensive though.

This is one of our favorite comfort food spots in Tyler. Nothing beats the warmth of pho any day and Pho Hot always hits the spot. The banh mi and coffee also brings me back to Vietnam every single time. Manager Phuong is also very accommodating and makes sure we were satisfied. Her smile is so contagious too. There’s no wonder how Pho Hot always has loyal local customers.

Let me start by saying, The food was very good! I’m just disappointed in the tipping culture personally. My husband and I have three children that are under the age of 11 and we went out to eat, made our order, ate it, and did not receive the check or was offered any to go boxes so I went up to the register and asked myself because it was getting late if I could go ahead and pay and get to go boxes. The bill was significantly higher than I expected. I figured that maybe I miscounted the prices of some of the meals so I could understand the difference possibly. I left a 20% tip and requested a receipt when I looked at the receipt, they had already taken off the same amount of tip (shy about 20 cents) that I had left them because they said it was a large party group. I could understand eight people being a large party. Honestly, I could even understand six people possibly being a large party but your average American family size I think that that’s a little excessive to go ahead and take it upon yourself to leave a tip. I just don’t feel comfortable going back to this establishment for a normal family dinner.
