Not the place it used to br back in 1970s when it started during the Hippi era, and local towns people met at the bar for afternoon drinks and pool playing. Nowadays, college students go to the Brass Monkey and have no idea its name and founding, its just the only bar in this university town for folks to meet socially and get drunk.
